Friction would be the main solution - tighten the straps enough so that they can't fall down. But also uppermost seat belt hardware helps. And if you keep the bag reasonably full, then the if the bottom is supported, the whole thing stays in place. I've got 2 and have had no such issue. **Q: Is this a pair or just one?** A: One **Q: I have a 2016 wrangler 2 door soft top. Would 1 bag fit a rolled up side window?** A: Whether or not you could get a rolled up softop window in it, I do not know **Q: Would this fit on a 4dr jk with soft n hard top ?** A: I would think so; I have a 2 dr and it fits happily. The roll bar is vertical on the 2 dr but on an angle with the 4 dr. My two door Wrangler has SO much room for the RV set up with these bags. Plenty of room in the back for whatever is needed to camp across country. The handles helped tuck away the black out curtains when they were drawn during driving.These bags are easy to install and sturdy. Tough. The only thing I noticed that was easy to deal with is they fall the interior and hadn’t stayed snug in place. But I don’t have them jammed with stuff either.Used one for a couple pair of shoes and the other cold weather gear for sleeping if it cools too much.I hadn’t removed these but they’re easy to carry with the over keel designed handle. I mean this in a great way. As noted, this helps secure the black out curtains, now. Win win. Multipurpose.Perfect fit in the back of the jeep. Glad for ownership. Other than that the bag does its jobThe quick removal was just help since we can trust people these days unfortunately since they have gone through my jeep before ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Solution for Storage on Wrangler JL - Mod Needed Through *by B***B on March 27, 2020* I have this attached to the back of the roll bar on a Wrangler JL and it works well with a modification I made of adding two straps (Amazon MAGARROW 65" × 1.5" Utility Straps with Buckle Adjustable, 4-Pack (Black (4-PCS)) to the system (note only about 40" is actually needed for the strap length). I wrapped these straps once around the roll bar then around the bag and it stays rock solid in place (see reviews complaining about it rotating on the roll bar to one side or the other). The downside is that it makes it less convenient to access but I don't need access often and can still get some things out without unbuckling one or both supplemental straps.
