It tastes good. It has a rather strong citral taste; citral being the main flavor chemical in lemons, and apparently limes too.It's an "essence", in Deiman-speak that means it isn't meant to color the food, only to flavor it.There's a little coloring added, which gives it a pale green color; but that isn't enough not enough to cause a problem, if it spills.
