My cat had to take new medicine & it was really upsetting her. I got the #5 size capsules, but they were a little too small to fit my cat's medicine dose from her vet. I then, ordered the size #4, & they were a perfect size to fit my cat's medicine with a bit of room to spare. The #5 & #4 look very similar in size, but if I had used the smaller #5 capsules, I would need to give my cat 2 capsules to fit her dose, & I didn't want to do that, so the #4 capsules are a perfect size!! My cat's favorite thing as a treat is cold salted butter. I know it's weird, but she loves butter more than anything. She only gets a little bit, stuck on a spoon, & she likes to lick it like a lollypop while it's still cold. The vet told me my cat's medicine would taste very bitter & that's when I thought of empty capsules, so that my cat doesn't have to taste the bitter pill. After crushing up her medicine dose & putting it inside the #4 capsule, I slice a very thin, small piece of butter, just enough to wrap it around the small #4 capsule. Then, once it is coated in a thin layer of butter, I tilt her head up a little, put the buttered capsule in her mouth & I hold her until she swallows the capsule with the butter on it. I always check her mouth, & make sure the capsule is gone. Since I have been doing this, she doesn't get so upset about taking her medicine. She will give me a mad look right before she swallows the capsule. Then, I let her lick the spoon that has a little left over butter on it. That's her favorite part & I think she knows she gets butter in exchange for taking her medicine. Once she is sure the butter is gone, she will want to eat breakfast or dinner, since she gets 2 doses every day. I believe the butter also helps her with occasional hairballs. Since it's slippery, it works better than that gooey stuff they sell for hairballs in cats. She really hates how that stuff tastes. I hope my cat knows I'm giving her the butter capsule because I am trying to make it a better experience for her, or not as bad, & also make it easier to swallow, & it tastes like butter, which she loves so much. I would highly recommend these gelatin capsules. The size #5 $9.99 & size #4 $6.99 was a big price difference, but I opted to keep the #5 capsules, just in case I need them for her, should her dose go down. I highly recommend this seller & these capsules are great for my cat. I know it makes it a better overall experience & I'm very happy these shipped out & arrived the next day!! I got my cat back after his I-131 radiation treatment for hyperthyroidism, and I had a couple of different meds to give him. It was super annoying because the pills were so small to start with and I had to cut them into quarters. They would fall out of the pill shooter or get stuck. I came across the suggestion to get these pill pockets on a forum, and it was the best suggestion ever. I got both size 4 and size 5. I use size 5 for just one of the meds and size 4 when I need to give both. They fit perfectly in the pill shooter and come out on the first try. I can control better where it goes and get it right down his throat rather than on the side where it would end up in his cheeks and be spit out later. I think they also help to mask the taste of the meds, so he doesn’t hold it in his mouth as long, wanting to spit it out. He swallows it right away. I can’t recommend these enough. They are perfect for my situation and budget-friendly. My only mistake was getting the clear ones instead of a variety of colors. The clear ones were easy to miss if he happened to spit one out. Having multiple colors helped me use a different color for each med and another for when both are in one.

I used these capsules to combine a bitter cat pill medicine and 1/4 of another pill for my cat. These size 4 capsules made it much easier to administer the bitter pill to my cat.

I use these capsules for pet pills. If my pets can taste the pill, they will spit it out. These capsules are a life-saver. The capsules are easy to fill and easy to use for tablets, powder, and liquid. Then I place them in chicken-flavored pill pockets. Then my pets eagerly take their "chicken treats!"

Since my dog can taste a chalky pill, I put them in these capsules and now she'll take her meds. As any pet parent can tell you, it saved me lots of time and energy trying to find the perfect food to hide it in. I wish I would have thought of this sooner. Should have got the bigger size but not a big deal. So easy to use.

These look very nice. The cost is good. They are small so they go down easy. They feel durable. Vitamins in them break down correctly. Overall they work very well.

Had to give my cat cerenia oral tablets but he had hypersalivating reaction to tablet in his mouth/ unfortunate side effect and common. So I use these empty gel caps and stick the portion of tablet inside the capsule and now I can mitigate him having that reaction when I pill him the meds he needs,Capsules click together firmly. Overall, happy with purchase!

Good price. But they are awfully small . But they work for what I needed them for. Good value
