Nice switch, but instructions could be better
Good solid switch. Needs a 3/4 in. mounting hole. You don't want to go much bigger because the switch body isn't much bigger than the threaded portion. I hooked mine up to an underhood LED lighting system on my car so when you look at the picture it shows that the red & blue wire goes to the positive lead of my LED lights... I found it easier to splice the wires together then put a larger sized shrink tubing on to them then another smaller shrink tubing on the positive lead from the LEDs then soldered them together and first shrink the smaller tubing, then slide the larger shrink tube down over the small one then heat that one up. Kinda the same with the black ground wire because it goes to my battery and to the negative lead on the LEDs. And the green wire I hooked directly to my battery with a fuse in line. The yellow wire remained unused. I ended up cutting it shorter and tucking it into the empty hole next to it... So I have it hooked to where the button LED is off until I push it to turn on the LEDs... Hope this helps some confusion

Easy to convert to momentary switch
So I made the mistake of ordering this with out noticing it was a latching push button. But it was pretty easy to convert.Where the c is located you have to cut out a small portion of the clear plastic to be able to remove the copper plate. Under that plate is the latching mechanism :). Happy to say it works great . Still makes the clicky sound but doesn't latch.

Good part, here is more detail on LED
So far so good...LED leads separate from switch contacts and LED will light with as little as 2.3V and less than 1mA when in a daylit room.I will use the LED wires with a 3.3 V microcontroller output and its what I would call perfect bright at 3.3V. I don't see a full 1mA of current until 4V. At 12V I see 7-8mA. Brightness in daylit room doesn't change much after you increase past 4V or so...at least in daylit room. For those asking about wiring, the cut sheet that comes with these makes it hard to see you need to wire in the LED to your switch contacts in different ways to see load/switch status. You effectively running LED across the source inputs to switch, or load side or parallel...look close and you can see these connections. . In my case switch state isnt what I want...I want a different staterepresented by the indicator led (i.e. is the load I am powering actually running) which this switch allows since LED is seperate.

Really nice switch, great value
Good quality. Mine had a fixed LED ring that does not depress with the button. Very nice feel & works well. Nice latching connector, quality pigtails. LED can be used with higher than 12VDC voltage if you just add an external dropping resistor in series. I used 15K for 24VDC although I did not want the LED very bright. Switch contacts are rated for AC line voltage as well as DC. I have also used the 22mm version which has a floating LED ring but is 1.5 times the price. This is a great value.

BROKE IN 3 WEEKS! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
Don't bother buying this switch.I'm massively disappointed in this switch. It worked great for the first 2 weeks after I installed the switch to control the lights in the bed of my pickup. I wired the internal light on the switch to be off when the lights in the bed are off so as to not draw the battery down.Something is shorted internally in the switch and now the light on the switch is on all the time, whether pressed or depressed. I've had to disconnect the switch to avoid drawing down the battery in my truck. I'm massively disappointed that this switch is junk. I'm glad I caught this now so I wouldn't wake up to a dead battery.

Versitile Illuminated Switch
The Apeile switch is well made and has a wealth of ways to connect the illumination feature. The rings glow nicely for nighttime use in an instrument panel - not too bright but definitely noticeable. Push button detent prevents inadvertent switch operation. The connector makes connections with crimp terminals very easy but you need to allow for the additional inch they extend beyond the body of the connector (which is long to begin with and suitable for mounting in thicker wood panels). I purchased 4 units and they all worked out of the box. Would definitely purchase Apeile switches again.

Instructions are slightly lacking.
It took a minute of looking at the diagram and looking at the pins. I had to write down the wire color to match the corresponding pin. Then I was able to write down which wire went where.I chose blue ones and the light isn't horrible. I've had blinding led before and im happy to say these are ok.Dealing with the unused wire on the harness pigtail is a little challenging as well as jumpering two wires together.Switch itself is well made. I did not test the waterproofing. The aluminum wire gage on the jumper is about 16 AWG. It was neat to actually get wire that was written in Chinese.

Serves its purpose
It comes with a diagram to wire it. It is a little small but still legible. Works great. Definitly water resistant. Sits on my motorcycle in the rain and have no issues.

Easy to use and install but is bright
The only downfall to this switch is the blue LES light is really bright at night driving and is distracting. It’s mounted by my heater controls which is easy to get at when I need to use it. But have to put tap over it so it stops blinding me, while driving

Worth the money
Excellent switch..well made ...led bright and clear.... installed it in a motorcycle fairing and use it to control a voltmeter.
