These solve my problems was swollen ankles and I now wear them as regular socks all the time, leaving them on overnight and taking them off and changing to a clean pair after I shower in the morning. The picture of this item is a little deceiving because it doesn't show what bulges out over the top of the sock but then, they do have the thigh high version.What I will do in the hot weather remains to be seen.
