I’ve been using this elderberry syrup for my daughter for years, and it has been a staple in our home. One of the biggest wins is that she actually enjoys the taste, which makes it so much easier to stay consistent—no struggles or complaints when it’s time to take it. I primarily use it as part of her regular wellness routine for maintenance, and I’ve found it to be very helpful. When she starts to feel under the weather, I simply increase the dosage, and it seems to give her the extra support she needs. Overall, it’s a product I trust and continue to repurchase. If you’re looking for something effective that kids won’t fight you on taking, this is definitely worth trying.

This is my first time writing on any review. I have to let everyone know that this is a miracle product. I have my first baby about 4.5 years ago and another one about 2 years later. Lets just say my kids and I have been sick almost every month b/c both kids are in daycare at a very young age (6 weeks). Within these couple years my daughter was on 13 times of antibiotics, my son about 10 times and myself about 11 times. About 3 months ago i went into whole foods and was looking for anything that can boost my immune system and the clerk there introduce me to this. I was like what the heck i have nothing to loose so i bought it. Start giving to my kids everyday and notice that their normal weekly runny noses are gone. I went on Amazon and bought the adult version for myself. Now 3 months into taking it My kids and I are not sick since then. Its flu season and we are still holding up. For the first time in about 3 years i finally feel like a human again. From being sick all the time and having sick kids, taking days off work i was about to end my job to be a stay home mom and just avoid daycare. If you are deciding to buy this don't think, JUST GET IT. it have safe my family from getting sick all the time and i told myself that i have to tell everyone about this. Hell with the antibiotics, yeah it helps at the time but it don't prevent you from getting sick. We have spend over 4k on medical bills all these years from co pay to all kind of tests to see why we are getting sick all the time. My family doctor loves us b/c he can make so much $ off us. We visit every 3 weeks sometimes every week and every time we come back with antibiotics. Now i make my own elderberry syrup and just buy this for the kids b/c this is a little lighter than the one i make. I buy the dried berries here on Amazon and follow recipes online to make it. Taste yummy! Its way cheaper too if you make your own. I go through mine very quick if I start feeling sick i take it every 2 hours. Same with my kids. Started using this when my son missed 28 days of school due to ear infections/ Upper respiratory infections. He has not been sick for over three years since we started it.

I absolutely adore this syrup. I was skeptical when I first ordered this after my two-year-old caught her second cold in a matter of weeks, but I was desperate. The next time she showed signs of a cold I gave her the double dose as directed and her cold only lasted 5 days and was SIGNIFICANTLY less severe than her previous colds that year. Even after that I wasn't totally sold, it could have been a less severe cold that she had picked up, so I withheld judgement. The next time she showed symptoms I did the same thing again, although it wasn't quite as fast as before, and the cold only lasted 6 days with mild symptoms. The key with this stuff is that you have to start giving it to them the moment you even think they might be getting a cold. I don't give the maintenance dose consistently, only after she has been somewhere that is particularly germ infested, and that seems to do enough to keep her from catching as many colds as she probably would. My daughter loves the taste, and I even make her elderberry soda, just mixing the dosage amount with sparkling water, and she will usually drink it all. That being said, I only do that for occasional doses, not when she is sick because she doesn't always drink the entire amount. Also, this stuff stains and is sticky. It isn't impossible to get out, but it isn't fun to have extra laundry to do. I usually give her the medicine while she taking a bath in case of drooling or the rare mutiny. I really can't recommend this stuff enough. Give it a go, use as directed, and your little one will be back climbing the 6 ft tall cat post in no time.

We love this product for my 3 year old who is always sick with some virus or another. We've found it helps prevent frequency of illness, as well as severity. (He had a runny nose and cough all day a couple of days ago but next day just the cough, then next day nothing. Where as usually his colds would go on for a good week if not longer)I actually love that he still gets a little sick but not too sick (This way I know he's building up his immune system!) We usually give this to him daily and step it up to two a day when he's sick. Just be advised to keep yourself well stocked! We were close to the end of our supply and I ordered more on July 10th. We still have not received it. We ran out completely a couple of days ago and our son really needs it! Tracking it now shows that we'll get it around the 27th. (So much for two day shipping) So just keep yourself well stocked and you should be good!

I give a daily dose of this to my toddler. We have been doing that since he was 2 years old - he’s now 3.5 years old. This elderberry syrup provides great daily immunity support. It gives his system a little boost/extra protection from all the toddler germs out there. When he’s feeling sick, I give him a double dose each day until he’s feeling better. The best part about this syrup is that there is no fighting or tears to get our toddler to take it each day. He loves the taste so much that he asks for it, and asks for more. He won’t go to bed without it!

When my daughter (who has seasonal allergies) started kindergarten, our entire family was hit with a nasty bout of colds, that lingered and lingered. It seemed as if we'd start to get over it then BAM we'd all get sick again. While the pediatrician had given us dosage information for OTC cold medications for both my five-year-old and almost-three-year-old, I wasn't comfortable giving them these meds constantly. So I tried Sinupret Syrup for Kids 3.38 fl oz based on a recommendation from Dr. Sears' site. But it is alcohol-based and tasted TERRIBLE. Neither of the kids would take it willingly, and I didn't want to give them something with alcohol in it. Then I found Sambucus. It tastes GREAT, and has worked both for daily allergy treatment for my eldest, and for treatment for colds. Yes, it has sugar in it, but personally I would rather they have sugar than alcohol (or artificial sweeteners or other chemicals found in OTC meds). Tastes a bit like a popsicle, but without the HFCS or artificial dyes. Bottom line: it works and is palatable, and the best alternative I've found to other "natural" and OTC alternatives.

This is our preferred brand of Elderberry Syrup. We have tried quite a few brands so far and this one is our winner. It is tasty, kids love it and one of the cheaper options (especially when Amazon offers it with a coupon). As with others, there are two different dosages on the bottle; a daily maintenance and a large dose for when you really need to boost those kiddos immunity. I have found, even when sick, the daily maintenance dosage is sufficient. The Sambucol Brand actually constipated my kids after a couple days but this brand does not do that. My kids take this throughout the winter months pretty religiously. It is a tad expensive and I've seen lot of reviews stating you should make your own (which I hope to try one day) but having sick kids and Dr. visits are much more expensive in my opinion. I will warn parents - this stuff stains and is hard to get out of clothing. Luckily, it is so tasty so my children rarely spit any out!
