Install is easy, works fine. Looks actually really solid.

I have installed this on the 2018 XSR 900. The middle plastic fuel tank cover(black part) had to be trimmed off by ~3 cm to make it fit. To be honest, I rode it only once and the steering felt more stable even in the softest setting. That's a good upgrade for 90$. But I don't know how long it will last.Wish the bike had such a system installed by default...

I’ll be blunt. It ACTUALLY works. I feel like this makes a massive difference in preventing bar wobble. The MT09 is a tank slapper waiting to happen, but I’m confident this will help. I used to wobble on shifts from 1-2 2-3 and 3-4. Feels much more stable now. Idk if it will stand the test of time, but for now it actually works. Money well spent. Ensure you have loctite for the install.

If you feel like your XSR900 is wobbly when accelerating hard this will fix it. I'll never have professional rider skills and the 1st gen XSR900 will likely never be the choice for a race bike. A steering damper will give you the security and confidence in steering you're looking for.

as it says in the title after a few months of use it started to leak and leak oil, I do not recommend it, I contacted the seller, since he was willing to buy only the damper without the mounting kit, he offered me a $5 discount , after thinking about it a bit, I did not accept, since the item is of poor quality and it started to lose oil out of nowhere, having a normal use with the motorcycle, in any case the seller should replace the damper since it is their fault manufacture poor quality things, I do not recommend it better save a little more and buy an Ohlins steering damper that costs a little more than $ 300 dollars, it is better since keep in mind that if I had agreed to buy the damper with those 5 measly dollars of discount I would have spent more than $150 practically half of what an Ohlins damper is worth, which will last you many years and not a few months like this poor quality damper, take my advice and do not spend your money on this, it will be cheap in the long run it will be expensive when when it starts to fail.Update: I continue to use it, while ordering the Ohlins shock, in short it exploded, filling my bike and clothes with hydraulic fluid do not buy this garbage save your money and do not buy this product, and the seller does not want to be responsible for his garbage damper.

there has to be a better design. The mount joint and side elbow wore out so fast this thing is just a limp noodle on my bike after about 1000 miles of use. Would never buy this style of steering dampener again. I have taken it off and sad I wasted my money

The media could not be loaded.  This is a nice unit. If you have an xsr900 and are looking for a decent alternative, you can go with this style with a small modification. Easy to install and seems to work ok. Don’t notice much of a difference with it just it looks cool.

Awesome bike and i ride it like if ive stoled it :)This steering damper is a must, you absolutly need it.Is increase the quality of the ride everywehere.If it's installed properly, it perform very well . It changed everything if you ride that bike hard ...

Transformed the handling of the bike. Altogether a safer ride. A must!
