I have been looking for a replacement remote for my fan for 2 years. The fan still looks new and is in perfect working condition except the remote works occasionally, and sometimes not at all. Finally found it! All I had to do was make sure the dip switch was the same. So happy!!! Thought I would have to replace my fan!! This will work if you have a Hampton Bay fan model # UC7030T!! It was so easy!!

I read and followed the instructions, watched their video, went a got a FRESH 9 volt battery and put the dip switch in the same position as the old remote, tried turning on the fan(high, medium and low speed,) then tried turning on the light and....ta da.....NOTHING!!! Tried several times and still NOTHING. IF the old remote works without changing any of the dip switches and the new remote doesn't, and if the dip switches are identical matched on each remote unit, something isn't right. So I tried the old remote. Although the old remote is worn out, with some patience it will still work. Tried the old remote and it worked. Be aware of what you buy on AMAZON!! I am infuriated. This is my LAST PURCHASE FROM AMAZON!!I would of given it a rating of "0", but I couldn't of submitted anything unless I gave it some type of rating, so the lowest has to be a "1" and not a "0". So the real rating is "0".

The remote was easy to program and works well. However the batter rattles around inside. A small piece of foam could have prevented this.

I spent all day searching for the DIP switch. Google searched again and found information on how to do it without changing any coded.Shut fan off on the wall switch. Wait 15 seconds. Turn fan back on with the wall switch. Hold off on remote for 3 seconds. It works!
