Works Great But One Quirk for Arizona
My father has Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma and has been steadily losing his vision over the past few years. I initially purchased this watch for him in 2017 when he was 84 years old. He immediately fell in love with this watch! The voice is very clear and loud enough for him to hear it, so easy to use by just pushing a conveniently placed button. He wore that watch every day and probably pushed the time and day/date buttons 100 times a day. He would show it off in waiting rooms at various Dr. appointments and at grocery stores and likely generated a lot of sales for this company. That first watch lasted 5 years. In 2022 I purchased this same watch as a replacement, 2 years later, he wears it daily and the watch still works. I can't even overstate the value of this watch in terms of joy and sense of freedom it has given my dad. However, while the Atomic feature is great there is one quirk for states that do not do follow the daylight savings change (at least in AZ). When ever a time change has occurred my dad has had to manually make a change to get the correct time. His vision decline has him limited to low level peripheral and this task has become increasingly difficult for him over the years. My husband has helped but my dad is a very proud man and likes to be able to things on his own. I saw my dad yesterday and he had fidgeted with the watch and it was way off time wise. I know part of it is his vision and I think the watch may also need a new battery. At his point I'm going to try purchasing a non-atomic version for him to lessen his frustration. I will of course take his current watch and put a new battery in it so it will be available as a back up. This really is an amazing watch and my husband and I joke that it's likely one of the single best, most used gifts we've ever given him. I highly recommend this watch for it's general ease of use, clear speech and true joy and sense of freedom it gives to it's users.

Cannot figure out how to manually update date.
This watch keeps good time and I like the size/comfort fit for my 90+ year old father. We bought it for the talking feature, which works well, but the British accent requires concentration for him to understand. (We live in Midwest, USA) Wish he could choose a voice. This is a male voice, which is easier to hear/understand for people experiencing hearing loss. Also bought it for the automatic update, which we don't seem to be getting. Somehow the date got messed up and I can't figure out a way to manually update it.Update: I see they specifically list now in the description that it cannot be manually updated. The window auto update has never worked for us - maybe he has metal windows? - so I am going to try to take it somewhere else and see if we can get it to work. Too confusing for him to have the wrong date. This was supposed to be easier for him.

Terrible toxic smelling wrist band, excellent watch.
The watch itself is excellent. The wrist band has the most toxic, nauseating offensive, unhealthy smell that I have ever experienced from a product that I have received from Amazon and many items from Amazon do come with a smell (probably due to a sanitizer employed by the employee or the management)- this "Amazon- small" always dissipates in a few day and is a mild. smell with a slight "perfumed" smell probably from from a disinfectant n or a hand sanitizer ). The small on the wrist band is exceptional- it is strong overwhelming, acrid penetrating and has a toxic odor . I write this in the hope that the seller can correct this; problem. I am a physician conversant with toxicology and wish to protect potential buyers who do not have this skill. So fa, i have left the watch out in the strong California sun every day and am hoping for the best.

My Brother Loved This Watch!
My 70 year old brother had macular degeneration that rapidly progressed. His vision became so poor that he could no longer see the wall clock let alone a wrist watch. So I searched Amazon and thoroughly researched comparable watch descriptions and read the reviews; finally choosing this one. I could not have picked a better "fit" for my brother. He loved it from the start. It keeps super accurate time and is easy to "reset" if needed just by placing it in a window as the instructions state to do. It comes with an extra battery but I purchased this watch in April 2022 and it is still going strong with the original battery!Personal note: my brother passed away October 2023. I have the watch and I can still hear him saying "I love my watch. Thank you Sis." which brings both tears and smiles.

Change the voice
Overall the watch is okay but the only thing that I do not like is the vorce you have on the watch. It sounds like a old man. Can you put a softer speaking female voice on the watch.

My wife doesn't like this watch. She's crazy!
Exactly what I was looking for! This watch is a beauty in function, if not in design. The instructions are simple and easy to follow - but they are instructions and must be followed exactly. I left off the last step (confirm your choice) in setting the time zone and the time zone reverted to the factory setting. A re-reading of the instructions showed I had not confirmed my choice and I repeated the procedure. I also have an "Atomic" weather station/clock and since we are on the fringe of the time signal reception area, I have to move it to a window for it to receive the time signal. This watch updates nearly every night wherever I am in the house at 3AM. I get more positive comments on this watch than I ever did with my Rolex (which I could not read the date on), and my daughter officially conceded that I have one-upped her new Apple watch. I can not where a watch with a clasp or a buckle. My wrists expand and contract so that the band is either too tight or the watch slips around my wrist. I knew when I bought it that the band would have to go, and I hoped I would be able to change it. I had just returned a watch to a department store because the band could not be changed. Huzaah! This watch is now sporting the band from my Rolex and I have never been more satisfied with any watch I have ever owned.
