I purchased 3 of these for my 3 small to medium sized cats back at the end of October 2016, As of the writing of this review 1 of them recently lost the white disk attached to the back while the other 2 so far are doing fine. Many on here would consider this a negative however, please this is my experience. The customer service for the company that makes and sells these tags is probably one of the BEST that I've come across in a long time. I emailed them with my concern a couple days ago to which I received a prompt response as soon as they got in that morning. As of the writing of this review the company has gone above and beyond in my opinion to make-it-right by replacing the original tag as well as providing one of there other tags as compensation for my inconvenience. This everybody is how a company should react when something goes wrong and I wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation. To review this product You will receive a metal tag made of nickel with a plastic white disk in the back that has the Q-Code on it as well as the info on how to activate your pets profile. This tag is similar to a microchip but for the fact it's attached to the pets collar and not injected under their skin. I would recommend using both to have a dual layer of protection since tags can be removed and only by a chip can you prove ownership. The advantage of the tag though is that anybody can scan the Q-Code using their cell phone while a chip requires a trip to the vet to read which someone might or might not do. Please keep in mind that you have to create the profile and then activate the tag so both steps must be taken to ensure the code will work after scanning. Yes I've tested all of mine to ensure they all work. The web site profile is basic. However I personally likes that I can see other pets around and follow them as well as they can follow my pets. Kinda reminded me of a basic facebook for your pets. You get to have total freedom by putting whatever pictures you wish without or without comments as to what it is and all the pictures are posted on the community "board" for everybody to see. This tag will not "track" your pet and that is NOT what it says it will do. This tag will provide the location information of the tag when it's scanned by someone allowing you to determine where your pet could possibly be or their general location. If your looking for something that will "track" as is provide your animals location to you upon request then you need to look for a GPS system and believe me those a LOT more expensive then tags or microchips. Lightweight but heavy duty construction Contact information is private unless scanned, prevents just anybody from knowing your contact information and location Editable, If you move, no problem, just update the information on your website profile Customizable, this applies to the web profile you have the ability to put as much or as little information as you wish it's totally under your control Cons: Lets face it 1 of mine did break after a little over a months use. However if this occurs after the warranty I bet a little bit of Super Glue would fix it if you've found the white disk that is. Overall I'm completely satisfied with my purchase specially after my recent experience with Customer Service and would recommend this item to anybody looking for something of this nature. I do recommend it for pets though not for other uses. There are different tags for other things medical, reason is because whatever you post on your pets profile is public on the community page.

Love this! The tag is very well made and thick. It came with multiple rings to attach to the collar. Set up was easy and we did do a test and it does actually work. I hope that I never ever need it but I am confident if my dog does get lost, this will absolutely help us get reunited. There is also no additional fees. You can sign up for a premium service if you wish, but the tag works very well without it.

If I could give this 10 stars I would. The device itself is a perfect size for my 12 pound dog. You have to remember that this is not a dog tracking app. If your dog gets lost and someone finds it, they just need to scan the QR code and information. will come up on how they can contact you. I bought this tag back in July 2023 for my dog, Groot. Living in Arizona means our summers are hot AF! In addition, he spends a lot of time tearing around the backyard with the other pups chasing lizards, and just being his goofy, happy self. Of course, that comes with plenty of dust. When the tag first arrived, I was impressed. It looked sharp, and setting up Groot’s profile was quick and easy. I liked knowing that if he ever wandered off, someone could just scan the tag and all his info would pop up. It gave me real peace of mind. Fast forward a couple of Arizona summers, dirt, and endless backyard adventures… and the tag started to show signs of wear. No matter how often I wiped his collar down, the QR code coating developed this slightly “foggy” look. It’s still scannable, but hardly. It takes a lot of extra effort now. For what I paid, I do think it was worth it. If your dog is mostly indoors or doesn’t spend hours rolling in the dirt under the Arizona sun, this tag will probably stay looking fresh a lot longer. But if your pup is like Groot, full of energy and constantly outside, just keep an eye on the QR code to make sure it stays easy to scan. I’m at the point where I’m looking for a replacement. I am not sure if I will order this again or if I will go in another direction but this served it's purpose. Overall, it did its job, gave me peace of mind, and worked well, I just think the environment we live in took a toll on it faster than expected.

Bit of a scam. Not totally, but they will provide minimal information if you don’t pay for the premium. Again, kind of a scam. Not happy.

Easy to add profile and activate the codes pretty quickly. It dos come with 2 rings so it do feels like more secure

Es una placa hermosa, con una excelente idea para el rastreo de la mascota. Muchos se quejan del gps, pero este depende que la persona que escanea permita el acceso al gps, por lo que llega a fallar. Se la compré a mi gata de cumpleaños.

Me gustó que su código, no pesa mucho y si se ve como para que alguien lo escane, pero no me gustó que lo venden como rastreador y no es

Exactly as advertised. Setup was easy, use the code on the tag to create an account and set up your pet details. When scanned you get an email right away. If the scanner allows location data then you will see exactly where they are when scanning.
