Set of 2 Over-the-Sink Colanders

I use one of these colanders in my double sink at a time. They aren't huge and would not fit a box of pasta, but fit a quart of fruit (strawberries/blueberries) or some grapes. They are a perfect size when I'm getting fruit ready for my kids or draining some veggies for dinner.Clean up is easy since they are dishwasher safe.The plastic feels a bit cheap, but so far I've used them about 10 times and they've gone through the dishwasher (top rack only) a handful of times and they've come out fine.I would recommend them to anyone that's looking for a small colander for a double sink.

The drainer works well, but it is made out of a lesser grade of plastic than I expected. My daughter has the good kind, and I was disappointed with what I got. Wondering how long they will last.

I first found this colander five years ago in a school fundraiser catalog. I've never seen it in stores and was happy to find it on Amazon. I was ready for a replacement and was excited to purchase. Like the picture, I have a stainless steel sink. Since it came as a 2-pack, gave one to my mom but was disappointed to find that her sink ridge was too wide/thick for this colander. She has a standard 2-sided porcelain sink as far as I know. She is going to offer it to a friend because it really is a great and handy tool. I keep it in my sink 100% of the time. A lot of times I use it to keep as a drying rack for utensils I've washed or for the sponge to allow it to dry out between uses. I will replace this one when needed as well (probably 4 or 5 years from now based on the life of the first one). Just offer a caution to make sure your sink "spine" is narrow enough if you want it to hang off the spine. Mine is 1 1/8" at the narrowest point (in the middle) and that works fine.

I had a beautiful red colander that looked just like this that I bought years ago. It was my favorite colander. It cracked after my young boys took it outside, without my knowledge, to sift rocks in our driveway. 😢I wanted a replacement colander and these seemed like they were an exact match. I was thrilled that the price included two of them!Today is exactly three months since I purchased them. I hand washed them. Tonight I discovered all the black plastic handle tabs on the sides had dry rotted and felenl off.These are junk. Great idea but don't waste your money on these particular colanders.

Like another review said, it depends on what kind of sink you have. The manufacturer must have had a very narrow sink. They won't go over mine. So while a good strainer, Had no ideal of what I was getting. because I don't think it was made with today's standard sinks in mind.

Love having a colander that doesn't require the sink to be completely empty! I can wash fruit etc and let it drain in the sink instead of having puddles on huge counter. Fits ok but a little oddly so I knocked one star off fit that.

plastic is a little thin and the colanders are a little flimsy, but they work ok.

I purchased these for my Mom for Christmas two years ago, and they are still in use today. There is only some slight discoloration, over time, they have held up marvelously with daily use over the past couple years. She uses it as a "trash receptacle" when she is prepping food, a colander for pastas, a vegetable and fruit rinser, and I am sure there are others uses we haven't found yet. A must buy, especially for someone with a small kitchen, or a kitchen where the trash can is on the other side of the room.
