The best hair accessory EVER!
I saw the high reviews and so many who had thin hair that raved about the hold these give that I wanted to try them. I went on Youtube and was really amazed at how easy and versatile they are to use so that sealed the deal. I bought 2 packages with 3 each. I am so excited at how well they work I had to write a review right away. There is nothing like these. Forget all the barrettes, clips, bun makers, etc., this takes all their places. You can have a french roll, a bun, or many other types of hair styles in minutes. I have chin length hair and I did a bun after I opened them. It came out perfect, and I have very thin, fine hair. I put 1 in and my bun has held all day, I am speechless. Normally, after a full day of bobby pins I get hair slipping out, but NONE with these. My daughter has fine hair but down a couple inched below her shoulders, with layers. I did a french roll on hers (a fast type) and now only did it look like she spent a long time on it, but it only took 2 of these pins. AMAZING! It's still in place and she has chased around and played with her 2 year old son. You have to use these to believe how cool they are. Comfortable too, you can't feel them at all. Now the one and only con is you can't pick your color. I have light blonde hair and hoped by ordering 2 packages I would get a blonde color. Both packages are for dark hair. It isn't a huge deal because they go through your hair and if a tip is kind of showing, you can easily hide it with your hair. The stay in place so no worries there. I would not recommend the minis for people with thick hair. I would go by what other sizes reviewers recommend. These could work probably but you would need more is my guess. Fine hair girls, we have the perfect accessory for our hair type with these minis. Check out Youtube for how to ideas, they are awesome and I could not live without them and I just got them!

These were invented by a genie or a genius.
These are days when your hair looks absolutely lovely. Other days it is just NOT HAVING ANYTHING and no matter how much product you put in it, it wants to look like a sewer rat. When even a ponytail won't do and a hat isn't socially acceptable, pull out the spin pins. These are easy to carry in your purse for emergency hair days, and definitely a good idea for such occasions. They twist together/around each other so they stay kind of bundled together, and I keep them with several regular bobby pins to keep stray hairs tucked together. This keeps all 3 pins together without coming apart. I have owned the regular size version of these before as well as these minis, and I find these are far more comfortable to wear as well as more easy to get in the hair. Also, they hold much better as they come in a set of 3 rather than 2. The "full size" pins are about 3-4 inches long, these are about 2.5-3 inches each. The pins literally twist in the hair but you have to anchor them with a slight downward motion to grab the hair from the scalp. The shorter mini ones don't hit as much scalp, and don't hold as much hair per pin, so I find them way more comfortable. Also since there are 3 pins-the buns seem to be much more secure since the bun is secured at 12, 4, and 8 (think clock hours) rather than just 12 and 6. These hold SO much better than the hair pin buns and bobby pin buns of yore. I wish these were around when I needed tight buns in my ballerina days. You will still need a few pins to secure some random loose hairs if a PERFECT bun is your goal. But if you are like me and most days you just need your hair out of your face and off your neck-these are excellent since the bun stays put. Works beautifully under scrub caps as well. Word to the wise-order more than one set, because just like the bobby pin fairies-these disappear to the same place. It's always somewhere stupid like your boyfriend's suitcase.

Better than I expected - hold crazy good - and easy to remove.
I did NOT expect these spin pins to work. I've tried them today, now I absolutely love them! To test them, all I did was loosely gather and twist my hair (sort of a bad, loose, and low French twist?) ... I screwed in three of the pins .. and ... everything stayed right where I had it! ALL DAY! I didn't mean for that to be my hair-do today, but I wore it to church, and 10 hours later, walking outside, and driving with my windows open, and my hair is all still right where I put it with these spin pins. These are just amazing. My hair is really fine, but I have a lot of it, and it has some texture (will frizz in humidity, holds a curl easily, but only slightly big waves on its own. If your hair is like silk, stick straight, and has zero texture, I don't know if spin pins would work as well, but it might.) For years I only used "Good Hair Days Hair Pins - Plastic" They are okay. Half way through the day, they do slide a bit. I'm always checking them. And occasionally some fall out of my hair and get lost. As they age, they spread and fall out more - and eventually crack and break. Still they were better than anything else I'd tried. Until ... Goody Hair Spin Pin - which I think if mind-blowingly good. (I use pins when I braid my hair - to keep shorter pieces in the braid better.) At the same time, I also bought these others - but don't really like them: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005CSYVIC Goody Styling Hair Bobby Pins - 100 Count, Black - Slideproof and Lock-In Place I wanted these to catch some small wispy locks of hair and hold them in place in an up-do or in my braid. I used some large and some small pins - 6 in total. Only 2 of 6 are still in my hair; four fell out. Will have to test some more, maybe if I squish the pins together more? Back to the spin pins - I will buy another package, because while 3 held plenty well, I would like to have extras in case I lose some. They're very small. Oh - and they're weightless to wear - and more comfortable if my head touches the seat-back or a pillow than my former plastic pins.

Easy to use, lightweight and comfortable hair pins
Overall, I like these pins a lot. I was nervous that there would be a steep learning curve, but they are very actually very easy to use! I was able to secure my hair in a (slightly messy) bun on the very first try! And I was able to achieve better results with more practice. The pins hold my hair firmly in place. I have shoulder length hair, and was afraid it might be too short to work with the pins, but I was wrong. I think the pins would work really well for much longer hair, too. They seem very durable and are easy to wash. They are lightweight and don’t put tension on my hair or pull my hair out when I remove them. My only complaint is the color of the pins, which doesn’t blend in well with my hair color.

Works amazingly well! *Long or thick hair may need 2 2-packs for vigorous activity
Used this camping up north in the wilderness (tent, lakes, bear country, wolves, swimming, hiking, sleeping on the ground, beach combing, starting/maintaining/cooking on a camp fire etc) I almost never put my hair up. But it gets H O T. I also nearly never do my hair. But wanted it to look cute. These came fast, in time enough to pack them for our annual camping trip of 10 days. I'm so glad I got them! I wish I'd gotten 2 2-packs as my hair is to my butt and medium thickness. It would have been slightly more secure, and easier to do. But these worked like a charm! I work in education and with young children. So I'm very active during the school year. I'll be ordering more to tuck away in my classroom for the days things get messy with the kids (painting, sensory table, messy lunch or snacks, floor play like Fort or train track or Lego building, etc) and I know I'll be confident my hair will look cute and stay up during the day with the pins! I get migraines easily and any tight hair ties or headbands (or any hair item really) tends to cause my scalp to hurt and temples to begin to throb. I DID get a migraine during the camp trip, but these pins didn't even need to come out and I was able to keep my hair up during the hot day. I cannot say that about literally any hair item I've ever tried. In fact, some very high hold hair sprays and gels have caused those symptoms in the past. I'm so thankful to have found these and would recommend them to anyone, whether you are looking for an easy way to pull up your hair in a cute way, an item that won't exacerbate your migraine symptoms, a fast hair accessory, an easy intuitive hair item, etc. Whether you're one who thinks you cannot do your hair for the life of you (me) or one who prides themselves on the beautiful ways you manage to create updos and styles (not me lol but a bit of help in that area with this product!) You should absolutely try these out! Also worth noting, I nearly never give reviews on products. I had no discount or free product in exchange for this item, etc. I'm not invested in any way with this company. I just am happy to finally have found an item that works and doesn't cause frustration, doesn't take forever to learn, doesn't cause pain during migraines, and doesn't require like 30 of them to work with long or thick hair. Like I said, only thing I can say that's not even really a con is I need to order more just so my very long hair updo feels slightly more stable during very vigorous activity. And I'm going to order another pack as soon as this review is posted!

Product is great; listing is bad
Spin pins are a 5-star product but this particular listing is troublesome. I ordered these expecting to get the black ones pictured, but I received a blonde set even though that doesn’t even appear to be an option in this listing. I requested a replacement and received a second send of blonde pins. I’m sending both back for a refund now and ordering some black ones elsewhere. Note: It IS possible to use these and hide them well within your bun, but part of why I love spin pins is that I can throw my hair up in a secure bun fast and I don’t want to have to whip out a hand mirror to check I’ve hidden them. My old ones were black, so even if I did a bad job and the pin was exposed somewhere, it would just blend in.

Wish I’d known about them years ago!
These are amazing. Why didn’t I know about them sooner? They seem much safer for hair and the hair stays put.
