Ugly duckling that delivers
Having used these almost daily for past year or so I can confirm the sound quality is pretty great even if they look boxy and totally unsexy. Very sturdy and cable is replaceable (unlike other newer BD models). My HD 569s cover the ear better but these are still definitely over-ear even for someone with a larger noggin/pair of ears and overall the sound has more depth than lower-tier Senns in my opinion. Plus the sturdiness aspect is really unbeatable at this price point and crucially does not come at the expense of comfort. Not sure if that's necessarily because they're "made in Germany" but the headband padding on the Chinese-made HD 569s came off after only a few months and the ear pads aren't great either. By contrast the DTs look like they might last you through a war. Definitely worth grabbing a pair before they're discontinued.

Perfect for Mixing and Mastering
I wanted as close to a perfectly neutral pair of headphones as I could find for use in the studio. After doing a lot of research I selected these and boy am I glad. They are neutral but not "flat" if you get my drift, clear and detailed across the whole frequency spectrum and the soundstage is huge. *Exactly* what I was looking for, well made and comfortable, and very reasonably priced. Five stars. :-)

Une référence, un son clair sans les basses omniprésentes
Si comme moi vous ne voulez pas du "style" de son qu'on peut avoir sur les casques actuels (avec trop de basse) vous serez ici ravi le son est clair. Un vrai plaisir.

Lo mejor calidad/precio del mercado
De lo mejor que ha construido Beyerdynamic. Cerrados y con una respuesta en todas las frecuencias muy buena sin ser aburridos.La construcción quizá es donde mas flojos los veo. Pero son increíbles!
