You wet the brush and then swirl it on the soap for a bit. Then take your brush and swirl it in your shave bowl to work lather. You can add more soap and water as necessary.

Is this a crean or a bar of soap?

It's solid, but it beats heck out of a "bar of soap."

Other than consistency, is it the same as the tube...fragrance, feel on the skin?

My experience is that the soap is slicker, than the cream. The soap allows a DE razor to glide better than the cream. But the cream protects against cuts better. They both smell about the same. Maybe the cream as a slightly stronger/more powerful scent but not by much. The sent of the soap stays on my skin longer than the cream.

Can i use this to shave with disposable razors like the mach 5?

Yes, with all razors. It’s shaving cream. Use a wet brush to apply it. Great stuff.
