I personally love this pencil because of its simple design, how its lightweight, and the 0.5 led. I use this pencil for journaling and doodling strictly, because this pencil is MEANT FOR LIGHTHANDED INDIVIDUALS.This is not your type of pencil you want to use to jot down an entire textbooks worth of notes. The thinner lead means its easier to break. However, there is more precision and its easier to erase mistakes. I also just like the way it looks on paper, but it isnt meant for everyone.Comfort --The entire pencil is made of thin metal material, but its weighs barely anything. Depending on how you hold your pencil, it might hurt after writing to long. For me, it doesn't happen or bother me enough to where its an actual issue. The weight of it makes writing more fluid for me.Downsides (Some Advice) --If you like this pencil, I highly recommend not buying the eraser replacements. They run out so fast and it very tedious having to take them out when they are so small, especially everytime you have to add more led. Instead, buy those white pental erasers. They work absolute wonders and last AGES.

I bought this pencil along with the pentel gear 500 and I am very impressed with this pencil. It write very well and draws well too. The length of the nib is just about right and though a fixed nib, it works really good for both writing and drawing. It is a really nice utility pencil and inexpensive and feels really good in the hands.

Nothing special. Just a quality mechanical pencil.

After all these years, and after trying so many expensive fancy, funky .5 mechanical pencils, this is still the best one on planet earth.
