Get PH test strips to see if your coolant is acidic. Take your volt/ohm meter and test for stray (DC) voltage in your coolant. With the 6.9 international you should be doing more frequent cooling flushes and replacements. The VC-8 is an additive used based upon nitrate test strip results.
