White Sunflower "Aceitilla" Volcano Honey

4 stars only for taste. Really unique. As far as health benefits, I haven't noticed any.

I collect honey from around the world and this is in my top 5. Tip: Mix this honey with Australian honey and it tastes like an extra rich caramel honey.

I'm pretty darn picky when it comes to honey and do not cut corners when it comes to this stuff. I recently thought I'd try this (and the orange blossom honey) as I had heard some good things about it from some friends. As a guy who has had many types of honey from around the world (I grew up on the Mediterranean coast where honey from bees which pollinated oregano / basil was common), this is hands-down the BEST honey that I've had in as far back as I can remember. There is a very unique and distinct taste to this which I suspect comes from the fairly exotic pollen sources found within it. You won't find this kinda taste at the supermarket or Whole Foods-esque kinda place. The Volcano Honey has an evenly balanced initial and after taste as well as a pretty amazing texture--and not the usual "grittiness" that you'd fine with similar honey. Highly recommended and a solid 5 stars.
