Highly recommended from a teacher

I am a high school teacher and this has been great to use as a cell phone holder during notes. I have seen a decrease in students who get their phones taken up and turned into the office because of this.I love that there are 35 slots for larger class sizes and I love that they are already numbered! I used to buy shoe holders and have to label them myself! This is a MUCH better solution. The one thing is... I have two students that have excessively large phone cases and have to remove the case to put the phone in. I usually just have these two students put their phone in my desk during class. For the future I would love to see this company offer a tiny bit bigger pocket for those larger cell phone cases(they could even charge me more and I would pay it!). This is great for eliminating distractions for students during class.

It works, but is mis-numbered.

I picked the least expensive calculator pocket I could find, because my school isn't paying for it, I am. It works. It holds the calculators. If I can convince my 7th graders to treat it with respect and slide the calculators out of it gingerly and gently, it will probably last the whole school year. The weird thing is, the second row of pockets is not labeled 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 like it should be. The second row is labeled 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 and then the third row is labeled the same way. I'll take my camera to work tomorrow and get a pic of it for you. My students got a kick out of it.I'm not going to return it or ask for a refund because that is more hassle than it is worth. But it might be nice if the manufacturer offered me something. A discount. A free doo-hickey. Roses. Something.

Couldn't use it for calculators.

The fact that each pocket is numbered is what attracted me to this in the first place. Assign each kid a number and they will always know where their "whatever you choose to put in there" is. No one said it has to be calculators. That being said, I couldn't use this pocket chart for its intended purpose because it became too heavy with all the calculators in it. Command hooks, even though I followed directions, didn't do the trick to keep the chart from falling down. The classroom I am in is made of metal, so things are terribly difficult to hang on the walls anyway. I found heavy-duty magnetic hooks at a hardware store and now use this chart to store the class's scissors. I'm sure if you have the right hardware installed IN the walls, this shouldn't be a problem to hang. But consider how heavy those calculators can get and beware. Your exciting new organizer may need to be given a new purpose.

worked great to hold student clickers

I use this to hold the set of student clickers I have. When I use them its easy to see if someone is absent because the clicker is still in the pocket. When I'm done with them its easy to see which ones haven't been put back, too.I wish, however, that the manufacturer would design a way to fold up the pocket chart so that the clickers (or calculators) don't fall out. I tried rolling it up and folding it different ways so I could store it in a locked cabinet over the holiday break but several of the clickers fell out no matter how I did it.

I use this as a storage for cell phones in my classroom. It works as supposed to but after a year of usage for a full class, the stitching at the top starts to come undone and the plastic numbers start to get stretched to the point that things could slip out. I am afraid to use it for a full load of classes year after year.

Every middle/high school teacher knows the issues of students in class with cell phones distracting their attention. I use this calculator pocket chart as my "cell phone day care center." I placed two power strips in the chalk tray right below the chart and students are excited to have an opportunity to place their cell phones in a pocket in clear site and charge it for a class period so it is ready for lunch or after-school usage. Those caught playing with a phone at their desk have phones put in day care time-out by me.

Durable and practical! Classroom must have!

These are durable and easy to carry anywhere, even from classroom to classroom! The pockets fit most standard phones (my students use this for keeping technology safe and out of their hands during class). The quality is an 8/10 overall. My one concern is that the plastic pockets May in time rip from overuse, but so far I love it!

Good for cell phone storage

Love this. Use it in the back of the classroom for cell phone storage. I didn’t give it five stars because it didn’t come with hooks.
