The Alternative Reef Ceramic Nano Magnetic Frag Station

I was very pleased with this item. The magnet is not extremely strong, but it stays put. I have it in a 32 gallon biocube. You could supplement it with a stronger magnet from a magfloat magnet if you wanted to. Came with 12 frag plugs. Nice material. Has a nice cave structure to add another dimension to the tank. Size is good. Putting 12 frags on it would be a stretch, but overall, very cool. I echo a suggestion from another review for the manufacturer. Put a rock on the outside magnet too. That would make it look AWESOME!Edited to add that I put it in the tank to increase the options for hiding caves. It worked perfectly for that. My Lawnmower Blenny moved in and has taken up permanent residence. Bonus for dual purposes, habitat enhancement and frag plug holder...

Nice frag holder and beautifully made. I would have given this a 5 start IF it had been a littlemore forthcoming about the sizes. I bought this for my display tank to hold some frags I had purchased so they would look nicer than the grid rack I got.First the frags they have placed in the photo are mini frags. They are in no way the normalSized frags you would get from your LFS or online so without putting the frags super close together (which you wouldn’t want to do with different types of corals) you can’t really put 10 frags in it. Maybe 6 max again depending on who you want to touch who.Second the magnet kinda sucks. It definitely wouldn’t work in my display which had 1/2” glass and that was expected because of the description but even in my nano it’s just ok. I would be worried if I had more frags on it. If they replaced the magnet with a stronger magnet and drilled a few less holes in this it would be perfect.

This is a great idea but needs improvement. Looks great in tank. Hold small plugs nicely but need larger magnet. Does not hold securly to any glass or plexiglass wider than 1/2”. I have 200 gal tank and it will hold but you can’t move it to clean it falls off.

Works as advertised, but the external magnet is just a hunk of purple rubber, don't be fooled by the last picture they provide.

Its cool, but looks absolutely nothing like the photo.

Love the look it adds. Only suggestion to make it a 6 star - would be if the magnet side was covered in same material, to give the look of going through the glass.

Got it for the boyfriends reef tank. Looks so much nicer than a frag rack and works well. SUPER STRONG magnet
