Counterfeit product, do not buy Issues included: - 1 of the 4 boxes contained doses labelled as Frontline Plus for dogs - and the lot numbers for the dog and cat does were all the same (all Lot X61002), none of which corresponded with the lot number on the boxes (all X41604AW) - There was no expiry dates on any doses - All 4 boxes were printed with "For dog use only" on the side - The security stickers do not show small rings, which is characteristic of the security stickers from Boehringer Ingelheim - When opening the boxes, there was no tearing along the seams as the legitimate ones should - one of the inserts referred to dogs (with stickers for monthly reminders), and the opposite side had more info for cats (but not a sticker page)

...So... one summer night, a Raccoon got in our house, through the chimney, at 3AM in the morning EST. I called the police and they dragged the guy out with one of those animal apprehension poles and we all went back to sleep and life went on! ...about 2 to 3 months later, my dad, mom, sister and i kept seeing little red itchy bumps appearing on there skin in various spots, mainly the legs and arms. We thought it might be bed bugs, but they were nowhere to be found. I say my buddy scratching and thought nothing of it since i know cats do that. One night i noticed my buddy scratching up a storm, consistently, on the chairs near me. I took a closer look through his long fur and saw TONS of fleas! but you know what? if thats gross, heres the best part... i also noticed in the seat he was sitting in, there were tiny little white things that fell off on him from where was sitting, after he got fed up with my picking at him and ran away. THEY ALL WERE FLEA EGGS!! HUNDREDS OF THEM!! I should mention, he was an indoor cat. Took the chair outside in the dead of the freezing Michigan winter morning and shook it like there was no tomorrow. Went out and bought flea traps, collars, and dip, but after using them for a month, they only did so much. The traps and dip were effective, i should mention!... then, enough was enough. My buddy had enough, we all had enough and felt bad for him since we kept giving him flea dips and he hated it. Ordered this here Frontline Plus (AKA The Flea Nerve Bomb) applied it when it arrived and... after about 30 mins to an hour, seemingly, nothing is happing... it only appears that way, because after about a few hours, they are tweaking out, spasming and dying! I checked him and all over they were slowly dying! After the 2nd dose, they were totally wiped out! Just to be sure i applied the 3rd and have not sen a flea since! TL;DR: If your cat has fleas... BUY THIS STUFF!! It will end those tiny annoying bastards!! (the fleas, not your friend!)

States tick control in picture - box that arrived was not tick control. This is flea control only.

A few things to address when assessing this product and the other reviews: 1) If you do some research on the internet, you will realize that different flea medications work better in different areas. Advantage did not work for us. Front line does. Just because this product may not work for your pet doesn't mean it's faulty or expired. 2) If your pet already has fleas, this product takes at least three applications before it will start to work effectively. Our cat did have fleas and it took three applications. Fleas are no joke and always take time to get under control. Just because they don't disappear overnight doesn't mean it is faulty or expired. 3) Fleas can become immune. Doesn't mean the product is faulty or expired. 4) It is toxic, obviously. There is a risk your pet could have a serious adverse reaction. It is a pesticide for goodness sake. You are taking a chance and weighing your options. It doesn't make you a terrible person if you have circumstances where your pet having fleas would be terrible - like if you have a newborn or an infant and your pet is hellbent on going outside anyway. So there's all that. With that being said, frontline is the only medication that works for us. We only use it half of the year and start it early enough to be effective by peak flea months, though the product recommends year round applications.
