Super sturdy, versatile, and so easy to set up for home workouts!
I’ve been adding more home fitness gear to my routine, and this Ally Peaks Doorway Pull-Up Bar has been an absolute game-changer! It feels extremely secure and gives you a full upper-body workout without taking up any permanent space. Why it’s a great addition to any setup: Heavy-Duty & Sturdy: Made with thickened steel, it feels completely solid while in use—no alarming bending or creaking. It supports up to 440 lbs, so you feel totally confident hanging from it. Multi-Grip Options: The various foam-padded handles let you easily switch between wide-grip pull-ups, narrow chin-ups, and neutral-grip holds to target different muscle groups. Zero Drilling Required: It leverages against the door frame for support, so you don't have to screw anything into the wall or damage the paint. You can easily pop it onto the doorway for a quick session and take it down right after. Comfy Foam Grips: The high-density foam padding is comfortable on the hands and prevents slipping, even during longer workouts. User Tips for Best Setup: Measure First: Check your door frame width and molding depth before buying to ensure a snug, flush fit. Floor Use: You can also set it on the floor for elevated push-ups, tricep dips, or to anchor your feet for sit-ups! If you want a reliable, versatile way to get in upper body strength training at home, this pull-up bar is fantastic quality for the price!

Sturdy
Easy to put together. Instructions were straightforward. Sturdy. I use for back decompression and just hang from it. Helps my back out. Fits perfectly in my door. No damage to the frame.

Got stronger biceps
If you’re anything like me, you may be wondering three things when looking at chin-up bars: –Will this fit in my door? –Is it strong enough to hold me up? –Will it destroy the molding? I’ll go through each of these points in my review. 1. “Will this fit my door?” It fits perfectly for a standard interior door with the following dimensions: Door slab width: ~31¾" Clear opening between jambs: a bit over 31" Top molding/header depth: just under 3" Total wall + frame thickness: ~7" The bar sits centered on the molding and clears the wall without interference. It can also be used on a narrower door with the following dimensions: Door slab width: a little over 25" Clear opening: ~25" Top molding/header depth: ~3" Total wall + frame thickness: ~5½" The bar can span this opening, but you won’t be able to use it for the widest type of grip, because the door frame will be resting on the bar itself, rather than the rubber ends that are supposed to contact the door frame. So useable but with limitations. The bar won’t fit on doors with oversized molding (~6" high for example). It also won’t work if there is no molding, because there will be nothing to latch onto. 2. "Is it strong enough to hold me up?" This is rated for 440 pounds, and I never put even half that much weight on it, so definitely haven’t tested this to its limits. For my use, it held up well. When I use the parallel grip the bar flexes more and the door creaks a bit, but nothing has broken. Creaking in general is something that happens when this is used on a door frame for the first time. The more it’s used, the less creaking there will be. The bar comes with a piece of metal designed to be hammered into the molding to help it stay in place. The product pictures don’t show this though. I’ve risked my safety a bit, perhaps, by not installing it, but have been careful enough with my chin-ups to not fall off so far. 3. "Will it destroy the molding?" The bar comes with some rubber pads to put on the molding where it supports the bar ends. I have hardwood molding and haven’t used the pads. There has been no damage to the molding so far. Summary Overall this is a solid product and I’m happy with how it’s functioned. It lets me do chin-ups at home and is a good balance of being relatively inexpensive but still sturdy enough to use without too much apprehension.

Very happy to have this, exactly what I wanted
Overall, it is totally sufficient for what I need and I am very happy with my purchase. As for feedback, First off, I found the assembly slightly difficult and a video with clear instructions would have been better. Also, buyers beware: you need to make sure your door frame is study enough for this! I live in an apartment that is decent but I have to be careful because I can't tell if my door frame is really sturdy enough or not to hold the weight of me and this contraption. Luckily I am very light (112 lbs) and I don't intend to do hundreds of reps -- but I can see how this would be a problem for a heavier person who intends to do a lot of reps -- that's a lot of strain on the door frame supporting this. Secondly, it doesn't quite sit flush against the wall and door frame -- again, every construction is going to be different. And it makes a squeaking sound that is slightly unnerving about stability (i.e. is the door frame going to give on me... lol). But, like I said, I think any similar contraption will have this same problem because ultimately it is relying on the construction where you live which is a variable the company can't control. So just be aware of this and take reasonable precaution. I would recommend re-enforcing the stability if you are able to modify your home at all (I can't do this as I live in an apartment so can't make modifications to the door frame). It's a little awkward on the sit up use as it doesn't hold my feet to the floor unless I have big shoes and padding on to make my feet bigger -- but again, every body's body is different so some people's feet will be bigger and perhaps too bit (doubtful, there's lots of room). My shoe size is 7 1/2. That all said, I recommend it -- it's a great tool and I love being able to turn my room into a gym like this without a bunch of heavy equipment around. Wonderful, thank you!

Turned My Doorway Into a Simple Home Gym
I wanted a way to work on my upper body at home without buying bulky equipment, and this pull-up bar made good use of a doorway that was otherwise doing nothing. The thickened steel construction feels sturdy, and the bar stays secure when it is installed correctly. I appreciate the multiple grip positions because I can change where I place my hands depending on whether I am doing pull-ups, chin-ups, hanging exercises, or simply working on my grip strength. I am still building up to completing more unassisted pull-ups, so I also use it with a resistance band for extra support. It gives me an easy way to practice consistently without needing to visit the gym every time. The padded grips feel comfortable in my hands and help me maintain control during each movement. I also like that the bar is portable and does not require permanent workout equipment taking up space in the room. The listed capacity adds confidence, but I still made sure the doorway was sturdy and followed the installation instructions before putting my full weight on it. This has been a practical yet simple addition to my home fitness setup. It gives me several upper-body workout options, stores easily, and makes it much easier to work on my pull-up strength consistently.

Good for everything but wide grip pull-ups
This works for neutral grip pull-ups and chin-ups but isn’t suitable for typical (wide grip) pull-ups. Once you install it the sides/ends are practically stuck to the wall on the padding. Item is well built, was shipped well, is very easy to install in a home doorway, and quite stable.

Raises the bar without lowering the doorway
The bar feels sturdy, offers several useful grip positions, and makes home workouts more convenient without permanently redesigning the room. Setup is manageable, the padding is comfortable, and it feels stable when installed correctly in a suitable doorway. It is compact enough to store when not in use. I would buy it again; it literally and figuratively raises the bar.

Disappointing
Delivery was a day or so late but the real problem was the item itself. Screws are not long enough- there is a spring loaded locating lug which didn’t line up with the holes, this made the whole thing useless - very disappointing! It had also been delivered and returned to someone else so the packaging was damaged and bodged.
