Q: i'm concerned about sodium. this product has alginic acid. is this also sodium, as in sodium alginate (gaviscon advance)?

I'm not sure about that, but the 7th ingredient listed under the major ones is croscarmellose sodium.

Q: will there ever be a version without sugar alcohols?

At this time, we have no plans to release a second version of this product without sugar alcohols. We greatly appreciate your feedback and it has been forwarded to our Product Development team for future consideration. The inclusion of xylitol, mannitol and stevia allow for the sweetening of the chewable tablets to enhance the flavor profile while limiting the carbohydrate and sugar content of this product. Sugar alcohols are generally well-tolerated in most individuals, however, since all of our biochemistries are unique it can affect how we respond to different nutrients.

Q: Instructions say to chew and then follow up immediately with 4oz to 8oz of water. Is this what others have are doing? How much water is too much?

I’ve never used any water. I thought the purpose was to form “a raft” so the acid wouldn’t come up. I’ve been chewing one pill before bed with no water for over a year with no problem.
