27inches x 20 inches, I just happen to be doing this puzzle now. Ravensburg puzzles are the best, we like White Mountain Puzzles too.

Is there a printed picture of the puzzle in full size?

I agree about certain parts of the puzzles being hidden on the front of the box. That was very annoying. Otherwise, my 87 year old husband and 80 year old me were thrilled with this puzzle for the wonderful brain exercise it gave us. It took us 12 days of on and off puzzling to complete, and we're looking forward to buying more Ravensburger puzzles. One feature we particfularly appreciate is the anti-glare finish on the pieces. With another brand the glare was so bad we could only work on it with certain lighting conditions.

One reviewer mentioned sorting puzzle pieces "by shape". How does one do that? I go more by color and subject, but her plan sounds good. ????

You asked for ideas on sorting puzzle pieces. I use both methods. First, choose a subject that fits your skill level, with only as many pieces as you are comfortable with. I personally like large sturdy pieces in different shapes, and good quality puzzles with less than 500 pieces. I search for edge pieces first and build a border. Then I look for objects, animals, people, churches, , interior room decor, or anything featured in the picture. I make piles for each item or small area. using colors and designs. At the same time I set colorless or confusing pieces together in piles but I don’t place them them yet. Sky, water, a big crowd of people, trees, boats, fields, snow, etc., are done last. I place those last, less-identifiable pieces by color shading, shape, and size. By this time you can already see the picture coming together and there are fewer pieces left to deal with. Work those areas into their background settings and your puzzle is finished. I hardly ever complete a whole puzzle in one sitting so I don’t feel frustrated or give up.
