First Alert Radon Gas Test Kit, RD1

Provides complete analysis of water sample. All the tests mentioned are actually available in the kit. Its expensive at 2k for a single use, but if you are concerned about the quality of your water then this is a great solution.

You are buying a charcoal kit, return envelope, and lab analysis of the charcoal. Unfortunately the envelope and lab forms in this kit are only for a Texas lab. Shouldn't be for sale outside the USA as posting it by air mail etc is not included in the price and will most likely ruin the test results anyway.

This worked great for us. We bought 3 of these kits since we tested 3 different types of water samples for the science fair project (we compared what was in our tap water, bottled water and water from the beach by our home). We were curious to see if there was really a big difference between our tap water and bottled water and also what we were swimming in. If you need a science fair project, these kits make for a great project (and easy project since all the tests are in these kits but you need 1 kit per type of water you are sampling so if you are testing water from more than 1 place, you'll need more than 1 kit) that earned an A here as well as providing some helpful information about your water from pH to hardness to bacteria among other things. I read the information on the page here about what was inside and what test information it offered so there weren't any surprises about what tests were inside or what kind of results they offered. Everything was in all the boxes that was supposed to be (we ordered all these 3 tests in May 2013). The tests were easy to use (my 10 year old did most of the testing and she easily understood the directions) and gave easy to read results and easy to understand information. I was happy with the purchase. We got what we ordered and it worked well for us. This was my daughter's project but even I learned somethings about our water. Our bottled and tap water aren't much different at all according to these test results but it did show that our beach water here in New Jersey is pretty disgusting with the bacteria (we took all the tests in May 2013). Hopefully they've worked on it since then.

After receiving my First Alert MT1 Mold Kit I following the instructions and used only 5 of the 9 testing strips that came in the kit. I pressed them firmly down on the areas that I believe have mold issues, then placed them in the small plastic snap containers for each one. Each sample costs $15 to have tested, and from there you can pay extra for further testing if you choose. I mailed off the samples in the envelope provided. It cost me under $4.00 (sent standard mail). I checked the boxes on the slip to get notifications via text, and my results via email. I received a text that my results were received on January 2nd. I sent the kit only 5 days prior, so that was good timing. And over New Year's. Today is January the 8th and I received the email I requested with my test results. I printed them out as they are very detailed. I got the answers that I was looking for, and quickly too! I would recommend this product, and give the process 5 stars. If you feel you might have mold issues get the place tested, it could mean health issues for you and your pets. Thanks, First Alert MT1!!
