Extremely accurate for a scale under $100
Our oldest daughter bought one of these scale and recommended it to us. She and her husband do a lot of baking and cooking and this one provides very accurate weight measurements.I have some precise weight calibration standards which I used to test the accuracy of this scale and found the readings to be about 0.2% lower than the actual weight which is excellent for probably anything you would need to use this scale for at home or office. The linearity (variation in % error from minimum to maximum weight measurements) was also excellent. Placing a 500g calibration standard weights at the center or any of the four corners of the scale weighing surface only had a variation of 1 gram which is also excellent. I've included photos of some of the test results.Runs on internal battery cells (three AA alkaline cells) or an AC outlet using the included power transformer adapter.Highly recommend

Accurate and amazing
I first purchased this scale all the way back in 2021. Man oh man has it been amazing. so many meals, ingredients and recipes were made with the help of this scale. I finally got sloppy and left it in a spot with a high temperature variance (next to my toaster like a dummy) like it says you should not do in the manual and it's finally malfunctioning. Just ordered my second one and I can't wait for it to get here.

Exactly what you need.
This scale performs flawlessly. Can't ask for better than that! I've had it about 5 months now and it's the best investment in a scale I could have made. I've only used the cord - not the battery, but works perfectly.

Great for soap makers
I bought one of these 5 years ago and loved it and just had to buy a new one I put the first one through the ringer with my soaping business can't go wrong in buying this the quality is good the right size not to big or to small works great. I bought a food grade one and didn't like it so went back to this one. I would like the cost to be a little better but don't we all. I would still buy this again if needed in 5 years.

Not quite what I expected, but overall a good scale.
I've been having problems finding the right digital scale. I bake all my own breads, buns, pizza doughs, etc so scales get a lot of use, but nothing seems to be able to handle the rigors of my kitchen.I have gone through a few of the cheap Taylor brand scales, which seem to conk out on me about every 6 months or so. I next tried the popular OXO brand scale, but I accidentally spilled water on it and the display went on the fritz. I need something that can handle my sometimes-clumsy nature.I ended up picking this one up and overall I like it. I was a little disappointed that it's mostly plastic because it looks like stainless in the picture and it's labeled as a stainless scale in a misleading way, but at this price that seemed too good to be true so I wasn't surprised. The only stainless bit is the outer layer for the platform where you place your goods. What I like:- Fairly fast response. It's not as fast as the OXO, but it's way faster than the cheaper Taylors I had before (even on the fastest setting it's not as fast as the OXO).- Very easy to read, and I prefer the elevated platform over the pull-out mechanism of the OXO.- Ability to keep display on indefinitely, also has various settings for display shut-off time.- Ability to plug into a wall (also supports batteries).- I like the plastic guard, it seems like it will protect the display. I also like that when you lift it up, it stays in place, so if I'm having to tare often I don't have to keep lifting it up.- Seems accurate enough for my needs. What I'm not a huge fan of:- It's super lightweight and slides around on my counter too easily. Putting a towel under it helps, but I wish it was more stable.- While it is accurate enough for most of what I do, I find that it's not great if you have to do something like measure a single gram. It will go from 0 to 2, for example.- While this doesn't affect me because I don't require extreme precision, I have noticed that it will display slightly different weights if I re-weigh something. For example, if I have a cup with water and it weighs, say, 510 grams, sometimes if I remove it and put it back on the scale it will say 509 or 511.- The instructions ask to calibrate it with a standardized weight, and what everyday person has something like that on hand? I tested it with objects that have known weights (like nickels) and it seems accurate out of the box, so it doesn't seem like an issue, but it's worth pointing out.I would look up how to change settings, or read the manual. It's not intuitive but some settings can be changed, such as shut-off time (I have seen reviewers mention that it can't be changed for indefinite time, but it certainly can). That sounds like a lot of cons for a 4-star review, but most of them don't really affect me on a day-to-day basis so they're not dealbreakers. If something changes then I will update my review!

Worth every penny. Precise and easy to use.
I love this scale! I started baking to manage gluten and find it very easy to use. No more multiple measuring cups or spoons or bowls unless you want to separate liquids and dry ingredients. The scale has a larger platform with the readout and buttons in the front so you can always read it. The control panel is protected so you don’t have to worry about sticky batter or flour getting into the keypad, and it has a function that automatically subtracts the weight of the bowl. I’ve used small cups to huge bowls on it and can still easily see what the weight is.

Excellent scale, over 20 yr lifetime and still in use every day.
I think this is my 8th scale. But only because I give a lot of them away as gifts. My daughter has one that is 20 yrs old, still works flawlessly every day, looks good, needs batteries about every 6 years if you buy good batteries. But now that MyWeigh has been sold to a new company I expect these to be gone when the current inventory is exhausted and I won't know where to go to get a duplicate of the known good design.
