Review: Couldnt get enough of the first book. Been really looking forward to this release. Hasn't let me down! Review: We get to know a little bit more about the Demon world, since a small group goes down there to escape from the army. But that doesn’t mean they’re completely safe since they get to see how the demons “are born” and how their smoke makes the boy army even stronger. The Pitorians are still at war with the Brigantines and there’s just a matter of time before they attack without mercy. Thus, this gives us plenty of room to character development, which I’m absolutely grateful for. I love how Catherine has evolved from her shell and has become the Queen of the Pitorians –and not just by name, she actually cares for her people. She’s a leader and even when it means making hard choices, she’s willing to comply in order to be the right ruler. I also love the scenes between Edyon and March: to me they’re wholesome and a nice couple even though they have some things left unsaid that may or may not cause trouble later on. I just want to give them a big hug and promise them it will eventually get better. Edyon is truly a nice guy that happened to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time. As for Ambrose and Prince Tzsayn, I like how different they are from each other yet they’re both good, decent men. They perfect at what they do and what they can achieve, so I think that in other circumstances, they’d be great friends. Last but not least, I think the pacing was a bit slower in the first half but as the story progressed, I was fully invested in what would happen next. It also ends with a major cliffhanger so I can’t wait to read the final book of the series!

This book series is great! The book took over a month to get to me and the corners were bent and messed up upon arrival.
