Very well made and comfortable for even all day wear. I bought these as a sort of gag gift for a friend and I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived to find out how truly well-made they really are. Me? I'm not a fan of Spam after having been in the military, remember those C-Rations with the so-called meat and gravy meal? Yes, that greasy looking meat patty floating in greasy water. It looked very much like a bleached version of SPAM lol. That said though, these socks are great! They fit well and don't creep down like many cheap socks and they do a good job of wicking away any sweat and keeping your feet nice and dry. Cute, fun, inexpensive gift.

Bought these as a humorous gift for my 21-y.o. son at the holidays. They were the fourth part of an elaborately staged gift of coffee, a coffee grinder, a pour-through coffee maker, and then -- SPAM socks! The "real" fourth gift was a supply of coffee filters to fit the ceramic coffee maker, but my kid has been a Spam fan -- and advocate -- for far too long to pass up the opportunity to zing him. HE LOVES THEM! The socks themselves are great quality. They are very well made, with sturdy toes and heels. They are a generously fit, stretchy crew sock, even fitting comfortably for my son who is 6'5" tall and wears size 14 shoes. The cotton, nylon,& Lycra blend is soft, but it is sturdy enough that these will actually last through wearing and washing -- not like some of the novelty socks one sees! These are definitely a good deal and suitable for any Spam fan -- or Monty Python fan -- you might know. Given the new fashion trend for men is promoting wild socks even with work wear, these might even qualify as suitable for Monday through Thursday, and not just casual Fridays. (Or maybe not...)

I bought these socks (Socksmith's "Sushi" socks in bright blue) for my husband's 15yo cousin. He loves them, wearing them at least once a week, for the past three months. Hallmark of a successful birthday gift! While I ordinarily would hesitate before spending $10 on one pair of socks ... that are bright blue ... and are covered with sushi cartoons ... for anybody else ... well, this teenager routinely does his clothes shopping on Amazon, purchasing sweatshirts that are covered with, like, "galaxy" prints further emblazoned with cats and pizza. So I figured this kind of offbeat hosiery would be right up his alley, especially since he loves eating sushi. He further reported that he likes the socks because "they feel like good quality". My husband and I were so puffed up with pride over our well-received gift that we bought him the Socksmith "Math" socks as well. We had to choose the Ladies version (narrower band of black at the top of the sock) over the Mens because we needed the Prime shipping time, but the sock fits the 15yo boy foot just the same, and there's really nothing to scream LADIES instead of MEN. We got instant approval on THAT sock as well- he opened the package, put the socks on, and wore them for the next two days. Thanks, Socksmith. At $10 a pop, your socks meet our needs for "quirky, quality, affordable gift that can be given a couple times a year." I already have a couple more options (the "Guitars" and the "Checkmate" styles) saved for later in my cart. - AM SIL

These are nice high-quality feeling socks. I am wearing them as I type this and I was afraid the different patters would be something you could feel in the fabric, but they're not. I really like them a lot and judging by the thickness (somewhere between a thin dress sock and a sport sock) they seem like they should last a long time. I'm definitely pleased with my purchase and I didn't get them at a discount or anything. This is a real deal review from a guy that plays guitar and wanted the socks to prove it. lol Seriously though, the SockSmith socks are very nice. You can't go wrong. EDIT: I have worn these socks quite a few times since my initial review and they are still holding up great! I am definitely pleased with my purchase and will be buying more from this company in the future. I have to say, I don't know how they are able to stitch the colors in like they do without just printing the guitars on the socks. It's pretty amazing when you really think about it. Anyway, still comfy as ever and not even starting to get thin on the bottom yet! If you're on the fence on whether or not to buy them, I would say go for it. Hubby’s Favorite Funky Socks! He loves the FUN Patterns and how the whole design can be seen! He thinks they are comfy & sturdy enough. We have been getting him more “Sock It To Me” socks. He actually has been showing them off on facebook. The little Astronauts are super fun. I grab him a pair when I see something fun that he would like. It is fun to surprise him with things he enjoys. The Hubs wears a size 12 and these have been fine. No BIG TOES poking through. I wash them inside out and dry them. They have been fine.
