Something wonderful. The larvae came alive and are very active. I hope we will be able to release wonderful ladybugs. Everything is as described. this year we are breeding ladybugs and butterflies. the children are delighted

Complete waste of money. Most larva were dead or died right away, not even 24 hours apart receiving. Very dissatisfied.

The bugs arrived safely. The are in their habitat and the kids are fascinated.

We used this kit for my daughters science faire project. It was a hit! She was able to learn and watch each and every stage of development and release them once they were done. These came three days late. We had no weather delays. Many were dead and the few that lived changed into the pupa phase within 12 hours. So my students did not get to see the larva stage at all. Very disappointing considering the personal investment in my classroom.The plastic models that represent each stage are very nice and the only reason this is getting a 2-star review.

I bought this for my classroom when we were looking at insects as part of a “things that grow” unit. We also got a container of ladybug larvae from a different company purchased by the school. From Insect Lore, the animals were healthy, and most of them ended up as ladybugs that were released to the wild. From the other company- several died after getting stuck in their food, some ate smaller ones and got huge, and the container ended up smelling horrible and getting fruit flies. Eventually I just threw them out. Definitely go with Insect Lore.

I've ordered a replacement since they were all dead...waited 4 days for them to "wake up" and nothing happened. How am I supposed to send back dead bugs since I put in a return order to get the replacement?

The larvae all arrived alive, and we had no issues getting them all to complete the cycle into lady beetles. But if you are expecting the traditional, big round, cute, 7 spotted Ladybugs you see on the pictures and that is represented in the figures of the life cycle...that is not what they are. They hatch into Pink Spotted Lady Beetles. ...which are tiny, dull and sort of creepy looking honestly. Yes if you click to expand the details at the bottom, i do see it says that...but im sure many people like us read the general description section and see the pictures, and might be a bit disappointed at the result. It was still interesting to see the life cycle tho.
