Great little snaps! These snaps are getting a poor reviews because of outdated instructions...
I don't usually write a review, but I feel that these snaps are getting unfair poor reviews because the instructions are badly outdated. The snaps are different. These snaps are so easy to install and work beautifully for my doll clothes! 🤗💕 I much prefer them to buttons for smaller clothes. I wasted a few snaps figuring out how to use the tool properly. 🙄 See my picture - there are 4 parts to a snap set and you have to change out the rod for each side. If you don't change the rod in the tool out for each side, you will either end up getting an incomplete install or mash the side of the snap circle. 😵 Either way, your snaps won't work properly. Changing the rod is a pain so I opted to buy a 2nd tool so that I wouldn't have to change rods between the top of the snap set and the bottom. The black holder piece also needs to be sized according to your snap size. The T3 snaps are a good size for 15-18" doll clothes and would be great for baby clothes too!... Understand, however, that it will be more difficult and time-consuming if you only have one tool.Update: After using these snaps for a while, I found that you can do both sides of the snaps with the tool that fits the smaller circle piece, but the bigger one does make the larger circle piece a bit more snug... Just ensure that you have the correct size set on the tool and that you are lined up straight on both sides of the snap before you crimp it together. It really does work very well! It is my go-to for larger doll clothes.

Doesn't properly lock in-waste of money
These are two round parts. Both the make and female sides are rounded versus over side bring rounded and the other slightly octagonal like most other brands. Even thoughi used all my strength (and my husband's too) we just could not get these to stick together and stay. Even when it appeared they did as soon as I snapped the 2 dudes together, they come apart within 30 seconds. Save your money, look closely at pictures and not a brand that has the octagonal shape female part.

Not a lot of information enclosed
I saw this item and thought it would be a good addition to my sewing room. It has instructions but only on how to put on a snap, it does not say how to use the other included items and I have no clue on how to put them on. In addition, the box with the snaps arrived broken and I will have to either return everything or hope that someone reads this and sends me a new box.

Poor quality
I purchased these for my machine embroidery projects: baby items, bags and such. I made a business card holder out of two pieces of cotton woven fabric and thin batting. The finished product was not very thick. The first 8 snaps didn’t work…came right out of the fabric. I finally got one to stay put. When I gave the gift to my friend, the first time she opened it the snap came out of the fabric. Very poor quality. I gave it more stars than the snaps deserve because the pliers kit seems fine. It’s just the snaps themselves that are poor quality. I’ll buy directly from KamSnaps in the future.

Easy to use
I used these to add snaps to handmade baby bibs. I wasn't sure how much pressure this would take to actually work but I was pleasantly surprised that squeezing the handle is all that was needed. It did take me a few tries to get the hang of it (the snap top/bottom has to be perfectly centered for it to work).I also liked the variety of snap colors in this set. I had a few snaps that came off when I unsnapped them but I think that was because it was on a narrow strip of fabric and which ended up catching the inside seam allowance so it was trying to hold through 3 or 4 layers of fabric. Once I revised my pattern so the bib strap was wider, the snaps easily attached through the 2 layers of fabric and I didn't have any other issues with them coming apart.

not super strong, for lighter projects.
Not super strong as snaps, they have a tendancy to pull off the fabric or break if there's too much force. These are for lighter more decorative projects. I've decided to just use metal snaps instead for my heavier projects.
