Nice size and light in weight. Bluetooth connectivity is great. When I turn on the power, it connects to my Surface Pro within 3-5 seconds when playing YouTube or a movie on Amazon Prime. Pro - Great Bluetooth connectivity - Simple and easy to use with buttons on the top of the speaker - Good sound for the price - Good internal battery life Con - I wish the buttons were not covered with rubber. When you press a button, you will see that the oil from your finger is highly visible. Did I really need it? -I bought this so that I can enjoy the videos I watch online. Sound quality is very good with this product. It’s not Bose quality but it’s great for the price I paid. Last Remark -I own multiple Anker products, and I love how it’s low profile and durable (See my pics!). -I've never had an Anker product fail on me yet (Knock on wood).

You want a review? Here's a review! Talk about a damn good speaker for the price. You can't beat this value. I actually hear bass! I've had my speaker for a wee lil bit over 2 years now. So trust this is a proper review. If a reviewer got it, and it was broken immediately or shortly thereafter, yes, that says something about overall quality, but unfortunately, no matter the product lemons occur. Those reviews are totally helpful, but you have to weigh them against other reviews that may be more positive. And no, I'm not being paid for this review. I just feel that the more information provided on a product the best for all - consumers, manufacturers, and sellers. That being said...let's get down to the nitty gritty. Price - done and done, son. You can beat this price. Even without looking at quality, <$30 for a portable speaker is damn proper. Usually, at this price, I'm thinking, "How much treble am I gonna have?" Yes "treble" bc for most low end speakers that's all you get - treble, and then, bass that is the equivalent to a soft unsatisfied grunt. Charge - The charge does last a long time. However, I can now tell that the time between charges is shorter now. And in the past 2 months I've noticed that I can have it charging, not in use for a long time, but the blue light that indicates that the speaker is fully charged never goes on. This did bother me when it first started happening, but I now see that I still have a lot of play/usage time despite not having the blue light fully charged special.. Definitely 12+ hrs. I cannot say exactly how much use time I get. I don't keep the speaker in use for more than 5ish+ hrs most days. But I do notice the frequency of charge. And now, after 2 years and many, many, many days leaving the speaker on, not plugged in, not in use (for days), I will have to charge it once during the weekend. That's the time I use it the most and when it might be in use for 8+ hrs. Personally, it's not a bother since I can charge and use the speaker at the same time. However, if you're going on a weekend camping trip, especially if you've had the speaker for a while, definitely take a power source or an additional speaker. I'm planning on getting another for that same reason - one for home and one for travel. Sound Quality - As I mentioned earlier, for a portable speaker, the bass is quite decent, as is the volume. I've had house parties using only this speaker and it was perfect. Now, I do only have a 2/1 apt, but on the balcony and even on the yard (if strategically placed) all guests were able to hear the music. Yet, it's not too loud to cause a disturbance. We've been hanging out till 6-7am, with the speaker on the balcony, without any complaints. Volume: Distubance = on point! Set-up/Use - The set up is über simple. And you can easily disconnect and pair the speaker to another device. As more an more devices become simpler to pair, this is not as an important feature, but still one to note. KIS - keep it simple. Not so short summary that is longer than the review - Hands down this is the best speaker for your money and better than many other higher priced speakers out there. I almost bought a Beats Pill, but decided against it after comparing price and reviews to Anker's portable speaker. And I decided, quite definitively, yes, Anker's portable speaker is worth it. For a fraction of the price for Beats I encourage you to try it out. Especially make the leap if you are looking for a travel speaker. Because when you travel, things never go as planned and inevitably something goes to crap like - your trip itinerary, your luggage, shady hostels inspired by or the inspiration of an Eli Roth flick, lost chonies (look it up bc the "p" word is gross, girls wear those, and I'm a grown woman and I wear chonies/chones), lost passports, lost virginities (the plural includes one virginity for multiple individuals or multiple virginities per one individual - like if you grew a second hymen or are a born again virgin), lost souls (it happens), or even the loss of dignity. But through all of that, what really blows is the loss of a hundreds of dollars speaker that you purchased mainly for your travel. If you get the Anker Soundcore, will you be protected from the aforementioned b.s.? Not in the slightest. But will you loathe yourself less when your bad ass portable speaker with 24hr charge is lost? Yes bc you didn't spend a few Benjamins on it.So now you can get a replacement. Or better yet, go ahead and buy 2 now and save yourself the hassle (but indulge in the Hasselhoff). Moral of the story. Stop reading reviews right meow and get this speaker. It's good, it's a fraction of the cost of comparable speakers, the charge lasts forever (if your forever was 24 hrs or less), you can charge it and still use it, and does this look like a face that would lie to you? Exactly! Also you can use the speaker, connected to your Alexa decide to play music by the Hoff, without a hassle (you see why I did there). Epilogue: On a side note, I'm currently debating getting this model (which I've had for two years, just reminding you in case you forgot or were distracted by to sweet tunage of the Hoff playing in your mind since you ahvent bought this speaker yet -Shame, shame, SHAME!), or the updated version. I've been pretty darn pleased with the older model. So that should also tell you something - the older model is so dope that I don't even know if I need the newer version.

This Bluetooth speaker is the best speaker ever. Better than my large bulky one that I purchased from Home Depot. It's small and easy to carry wherever you go. I purchased the leather carrying case. I'll share the link at the end of this review. I purchased 3 of these Anker Soundcore Speakers in January 2024. One for myself and an additional 2 for two my friends after having mine for a few days because the sound quality and bass is superb and the battery life literally last 24hrs and longer. We all do live broadcast and sometimes will play music or certain songs during or before the broadcast and this Bluetooth speaker prevents the songs from sounding choppy or distorted. It's also great for connecting to both your mobile cell phones or tablets to watch and listen to your movies, favorite tv shows, YouTube Videos, Live Streams etc giving it a Movie Theater surround sound quality. BUILT IN WIRELESS MICROPHONE FOR PHONE CALLS: Little did I know it had a built in microphone for phone calls until one day I was listening to music on YouTube from my phone in which I had the Bluetooth Speaker connected to my phone. One of my friends called me on my phone and it interrupted the song and started ringing through both my phone and Bluetooth speaker. So I answered my phone and my friend replied with a greeting which came through my speaker. She could hear me clearly and I could hear her clearly several feet away from my phone and speaker. So it allows you to have a handsfree conversation. I was shocked. BATTERY LIFE: As I mentioned before literally last 24hrs or for a few days before I have to recharge depending on how, how long, how often or how many hours I use it. For Example: I used it 2 days in a row at work at least for at least 1 to 2 hrs each day. And it was still at a 80% charge. This past Memorial Weekend I took a 2 hour car ride trip to Chattanooga TN from Atlanta GA and I listened to and watched a Broadcast on YouTube the entire trip. And it was still at a 100% Charge. So the battery life is good. And after having it now for 5 months I still have no issues with it and still loving it. The price is good and worth it. My friends are both still enjoying theirs as well. We were looking for a relatively inexpensive portable wireless Bluetooth speaker to replace a fun –looking Big Lots “boom box” style speaker that lasted for about a year. Our primary use is for streaming music or internet radio services such as Pandora and Spotify, and listening by the pool and while having dinner. My wife and I decided to take a listen to 3 highly reviewed speakers that received mostly positive reviews on Amazon. Here are the 3 speakers tested: 1. Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3 (Cost: $27.99) 2. Anker SoundCore (Cost: $35.99) 3. JBL Flip 3 Splashproof ($81.30) We were really hoping that the less expensive speakers would have been close in sound quality to the JBL Flip 3 Splashproof. Sadly,that just wasn’t the case. Upon the very first look, when opening up the box, you get a sense that Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3 is a very no-frills, inexpensive speaker. The packaging, the speaker, the extremely short, tiny USB charging cable. Visually speaking, this speaker screamed no-frills. Conversely, the Anker SoundCore gave the impression that you were opening up a well-constructed, tiny speaker. It was packaged nicely, easy instructions, it felt a lot more substantial than the Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3. Aditionally, the USB charging cable looked like your average size charging cable for your portable devices. Last, was the JBL Flip 3 Splashproof. At $81.30, it was a lot more money than we were hoping to spend on a portable pool speaker. It was plain to see that this speaker just looked “ more expensive” than the other two models. Great packaging, a super long and thick USB charging cable that came in an eye-catching orange colored jacket. The speaker itself looked awesome too with its compact cylinder shape. Enough about the appearance… a speaker is all about ease of use and more importantly -- how it sounds. How did all 3 sound and how easy were they to use? On all 3 speakers in our test, we used 3 separate Samsung Galaxy 7s phones. We played the same identical songs on each speaker and set the volume identical on all 3 phones. Here were our results- 1. Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3. Unfortunately, this speaker was the least inspiring of the three speakers. The sound was clear. However, it sounded tiny, none to very little bass. It projected a rather flat sound with the various music we played through it. It was though extremely easy to use, and the Bluetooth worked flawlessly. I would generously give it 3 Stars. On sound alone, I’d say it’s more 2 Stars. 2. Anker SoundCore – This speaker was hands-down better than the Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3 for just a few dollars more. Lots of great features – all of which worked perfectly. The only downside of the Anker SoundCore was that it lacked bass. The sound coming out of the Anker SoundCore is very balanced and fairly loud for such a small speaker. I would lean more towards the 4 Star mark on the Anker SoundCore simply for delivering a very nice, balanced sound quality, and is capable of filling a small room. 3. JBL Flip 3 Splashproof – At $81.30, we were really hoping that this wouldn’t be a situation where “you get what you pay for”. Unfortunately, it was in the end. Regardless of the song, or the type of music we played through it, it was far superior to the other two speakers. It worked flawlessly and the sound/projection of sound coming out blew away the other speakers. The Flip 3 Splashproof produced a rich, full sound that was extremely clear and thumped just the right amount of bass. It easily fills space with great clarity. All-in-all, the JBL Flip 3 Splashproof blew away this competition. 5 Stars. If you’re on a tight budget, you can’t go wrong with the Anker SoundCore. If you can swing the extra bucks for the JBL Flip 3 Splashproof – go for it! It sounds amazing! Update: Even though the JBL Flip 3 Splashproof sounds very good, the Bluetooth range is awful. As long as your phone is within a very short distance of this speaker you will be happy. The Bluetooth range on the Anker is WAY better than the JBL.

Great speaker for the price! It says 24 hour battery life, but I bought this speaker about 3 years ago and I’ve only charged it maybe 5 times ever and I use it ALL the time. Sound quality is pretty good for what it is, perfect for listening to music or podcasts while I cook dinner or workout in the garage. I do wish I was a little bit louder, but again for the size and price you can’t beat it. It’s nearly as loud (and much better sound quality) than the speaker I bought from Sam’s Club which was twice the price and is about 3 times the size. Would give 10 stars if I could.

I recently purchased the SoundCore as I had seen it was one of the line-in/bt bestsellers. I was satisfied with the build quality, sound quality, and functionality. Then as I was about to write this review the devil's that be at Amazon decide to put the SoundCore 2 in my recommended.....so I did some research to determine if it would be worth the extra few bucks to get the SC2. I was set on just keeping the SC1 as I didn't want to have to deal with repackaging it to return but then I figured let's see if anyone has gone from the 1st to the 2nd... Not much that really got me sold turned up aside from the expected reviews saying it's not much louder, and it can be near water...the obvious. But in any case the splash resistance and slightly more powerful speakers for only a couple more bucks really does make it a no-brainer. I order the SC2. Received it yesterday and played around with the two to compare throughout the day. Here's my observations/opinions without stating the obvious two features the SC lacks or whatever is already on the manufacturers/Amazon product description... *The SC2 is physically ever so slightly larger in all directions due to the extra "armor cladding," think chubby kid eating too much cake. *The buttons are more pronounced on the SC2. *The grille mesh on the SC1 is recessed a slight bit more into the speaker opening which I prefer as I feel it offers a bit more protection having the "lip" around it from denting the speaker grille should it land flat on the ground on say a tiny grain of sand. I'd eventually be annoyed seeing the tiny ding and end up having to replace it.... *The SC2 grille sits out more flush(but not completely) with the surrounding so I feel it is more prone to my aforementioned ding. *The BRIGHT LED on the SC1 is annoyingly placed smack on the front....and boy does it scream at you. *The LED's on the SC2 are perfect!(think soft mood lighting) and placed on top next to the buttons. *The sound output of the SC2 at any given level is noticeably louder than the SC1. *The bass on the SC2 sounds better and "boomier" than the SC1. *Neither unit distorted at unacceptable levels at max volume playing the following songs I picked from my gym playlist at random: Jump Man by Buckethead, Soon It Will Be Cold Enough by Emancipator, Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw, Like A Virgin by Madonna, and Tootsie Roll by 69 Boyz. *Don't expect either unit to put out the deep, rumbling, nose tickling, chest caving, hair moving bass you'd come to expect from an actual super legit subwoofer typically found in that annoying neighborhood kids car driving down your street at 2:30am every morning. *The SC2 bass is noticeably, slightly more punchy. *Justin Bieber sounds absolutely horrible from both units. For some reason both speakers make his music sound like a little boy crying... *Thank God Anker decided to tone down the ginormous Anker logo across the front grille of the SC2. All in all the additional couple bucks is money well spent. Do yourself a favor and buy the SoundCore 2(not that there's anything wrong with the SC1) as it's the upgraded version for the cost of tomorrow mornings Starbucks.

This little speaker is like the energizer bunny, it just keeps going and going. We have had it now for about 3 years and it has had fairly consistent use. Few months of no use here and there maybe, but it currently gets daily use being connected to my PC. It is heavy enough and sturdy enough to not get moved easily unless you want it to be moved. It stays right where you put it. It has only 2 LED lights. 1 on the front is blue, but not overly bright, to let you know it is on. The other is red and on the side next to the USB port that comes on during charging. The speaker has a clear and distinct sound made when you turn it off and on and when connecting to a Bluetooth source. Turning it off and on requires pressing the button for approximately 1-2 seconds. The buttons are hidden under a silicon wrap and only require a semi firm touch. I use it for music, gaming, movies, etc. Is it the best sound quality out there? No, but it is pretty good. If I want great, I go to my headphones. The battery lasts forever. I go all week using it throughout the day and it is at about 50% battery at the end of the week. It takes only a couple hours to charge when connected to my desk USB ports. It spent the majority of time in the bathroom as my wife's bathtub speaker, so a lot of time in a very humid environment with the occasional water being splashed on it and has never given us any issues in that department either. She would have to charge it every month or so when it was being used next to the tub. It has an auxiliary in port and a mic next to the charging port, both of which I have never used, so I cannot comment on either of those The biggest con I have about this thing (maybe they have upgraded it, I don't know) is that mine does not have a standard USB-C port for charging (I think it is a micro b), so I have to pull out a specific cord for it when I do want to charge it. Hopefully they have already or plan to change that in the future. The charging port is on the side, which isn't a big deal, but a USB-C port on the back would be better If you want something that last forever, has decent sound quality, and isn't complicated, this is your Bluetooth speaker.

3 months in and still blown away by how sturdy this speaker is & the quality of audio output. I’ve compared it against 12W and 16W speakers and it demolishes them from every corner; volume, clarity, depth, richness, every aspect of audio quality is superior. I use it in my car while I’m driving, outside working, and a few times with my PC and have charged it TWICE in three months. Daily use, at least thirty minutes a day with hundreds of power cycles since I’ve bought it, and only charged it twice (and both times it wasn’t because the speaker was dying I just didn’t know how much juice was left in the carton ya know). It’s built like a sturdy little brick, too. It’s dense like gold and for good reason, all that heft is the hardware you need for truly excellent sound in this little of a package. Turns out a good chunk of that weight is a stellar battery, too! I just wish it came in reflective/metallic white so it could stand the heat a little better.

Can't really complain, it does what it says it does and I had no issue pairing it. These things are quite loud for the size and while they have decent bass they lack some treble and upper mids but you you really can't complain at this price range. So far battery life seems really good too as I have yet to need to charge it with casual usage and I got it about 4 days ago Edit: updated as after a year of use I love this thing and I feel my rating was unfairly low as I use this thing daily and appreciate having it!

I am a picky guy when it comes to products, I go over quality than affordability. Anker SoundCore is one of Ankers portable speakers which competes with high-end/expensive portable speakers. with a speaker at this price point I was expecting to get a mediocre sound quality, but read the full review to see what I got from this speakers usage over 6 months. Style and built: This speaker looks a bit larger in photos but it is a big small and in a compact form. It has squarish with rounded edges with matte finish, which makes it look sleek. I choose blue over black for its brightness, plus black sounds boring. The speaker is really small for what it can deliver, plus it is much smaller than high-end/expensive speakers. Not to mention the speaker weighs almost nothing, well its about 400 gram. performance: As mentioned, I was not expecting high quality sound from those speakers for their price, but during the period of my usage they did deliver good sound quality for different type of musics. the highs and mids of this speaker is close to perfect, they deliver high-mid range frequencies (Piano, Guitar, Vocals and any similar type of sounds) sounds clearly without much distortion. The low range frequencies is where Anker lacks a bit, the base is there but is not enough to feel it, I would not complain about it much for its compact and small form factor, this makes the speaker a bit drawback for EDM music, other than that the base is good almost for any other music style. overall the speaker delivers crisp sound and loud enough. Battery: BATTERY! yes, uppercase, Anker SoundCore beats all other speakers with its battery life. Anker claims 24 hours of battery. I think it can last even more, I charge this speaker every once a week just to make sure it always have a full battery at the start of the week, I use this speaker mostly during shower/cooking every day, and never ran out of battery, I never charged it because I was out of battery. This makes the speaker superior for long outdoor camps where there is no electricity yet you want to enjoy the music. Pros: Solid and compact built that can fit in any carry on bag. Crisp and detailed sound with high-mid frequencies. BATTERY! long enough not to worry about if its going to run out of any. Cons: Low frequencies are not enough to fill the base intended to produce, it is not that bad, but it would not be a great speaker for EDM music. There is no hole or a place to attack a strap on the speaker, so you can only use the speaker when it is stationary. I am a student and use this speaker while I shower or do cooking, occasionally I use it outdoor for camping. the battery is what makes me like the speaker more than its sound quality, it is long enough not to worry about it at all, you can travel without thinking about charging it for a week. this speaker would be great for: Students: this is mainly because of its small and compactness, this will make the speaker fairly small and light. Camping: its good for camping for its superior battery life, it is not loud enough to party on it, but its good to listen to some music in silent while hanging in the tent :). Cooking/showering: I used 6 months mostly while showering and cooking and it served pretty well for both. If you want a portable speaker to make the sound of your iPhone louder and more enjoyable, consider this speaker to be your favorite. I did not use this speaker to make phone calls, it does not advertise of it having a mic, so I believe its not meant for phone calls directly through the speaker. Note: I did get this speaker for free as a replacement for my defective unit, I do such a long review in order to support Anker for its customer service and help them to make better products.
