Very nice to have a copy of this very old book.

Very disappointing

This book was a badly done reproduction I believe. It looked as if it was photocopied. There was few photos and what photos there were of the plants was in black and white and not easily identifiable. I do not recommend this book

The definitive book on herbal medicine of it's time period. The amount of work that went into this book is truly stunning. A great read for an advancing herbalist. Some old ways presently lost can be rediscovered. Some areas that modern science now shows to be rather dangerous. A fascinating journey back in time with interesting ideas. This book is not for the novice. I bought this for our museum on the history of spirits and medicine in Williamsburg, VA.

Libro raro e spedizione efficiente

One of my favorite books ever. I first bought this as an ebook, but found that I refer to it so often that I really needed a hard copy. Searching specific plants is not easy with the ebook. Now that I have the softcover copy, I use it all the time.

Bought it for a present. I know she will like it.

Shame on me for not looking closely before purchasing. First off it was brought to my attention Culpepper is not an MD as stated on the cover. Once I received it and started looking at it I realized someone just photocopied his book for resale. It is not illustrated, it is photocopied. Luckily I got a return but writing this to save someone the hassle. Will be buying from thriftbooks the real book.
