I used to always stay away from SureFire lights because I felt they were too bulky for how bright they were. I stuck to ultra bright but small lights. But after getting a few of these lights they have become my favorite way to illuminate something. The size makes it comfortable to carry for a long period of time, and the brighter colors are also very useful for when you need to find it quickly. For the money these are great lights that will last you for decades.

Like most guys I have a lot of flashlights most of them very cheap, I decided to get a high quality one for my bug out bag. I looked at almost every flashlight on Amazon and read a ton of reviews, I saw hundreds if not thousands of reviews on SureFire flashlights, guys just going on and on about how great they were. I was skeptical and found it ridiculous paying $60-$100 for a flashlight but I finally pull the trigger and bought the G2X Pro Duel Output. Now I'm on board, this thing is awesome, its built like a tank. You can tell when you have it in your hand that it is built very well and they paid attention to detail. I like it so much I decided to make it my every day carry light and I bought a StreamLight as a backup light to carry in my bug out bag (the StreamLight takes AA and I have a solar battery charger). I also bought a 12 pack of cr123 SureFire batteries to put in my BOB for the G2X, on low setting the battery life is good so this will last a long time. While the StreamLight is a very good light and a little cheaper, I think it was well worth the money for the SureFire, going from high, low, strobe is much easier on the SureFire, it's brighter, better battery life, and overal feels much more durable. If a A-Bomb landed right on the SureFire I feel like it might survive, that's how tough it feels. It was well worth the money and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a well made high quality flashlight.

I really like this flashlight so far. I mounted it on a .300BLK rifle and have fired a few hundred rounds through it with the flashlight in place, no issues from the light during firing. It feels solidly constructed and has a reasonable weight and size. There are certainly smaller and lighter lights out there, but I feel this one is a good blend of size and durability. I've ran it for about an hour total so far and no need to change the batteries yet. I mounted it on the rifle so the thumb on my support hand can easily reach the button, I've had no issues operating the light while maintaining control over the rifle. I like the press=momentary and full click= constant, it seems more in line with regular pocket flashlights and doesn't require learning new controls. Some lights out there need a users manual to operate properly. I like to test weapon lights by sitting in a dark room for a few minutes until my eyes adjust, the turn the light on a white wall. If I don't have to reflexively turn my head or close my eyes I call it good, and this light passed that test. Its bright, but not so bright you blind yourself at 3am trying to find the meth-addled ax murderer who just kicked in your front door. Overall, 5 stars for a solid, reliable product that is a good size/weight and easy to use. Also can't complain about the price, it is very reasonable in a world of $200+ flashlights. Update: I've been to the range a bunch in the last few months, I've put around 1000 rounds through my rifle and the light has held firm and works perfectly still. I tried it out at night in the woods, good field of view and brightness at range.
