Delivered by AmazonThis USB starlight is meant for use in a car ( not sure that's too safety compatible ) . It's basically a goose neck with USB at one end and a light at the other . I took it out of its box and plugged it into a usb plug to see how it worked . There's a tiny button on the light unit which operates the power and the mode. There are three modes that give lighting effects and a fourth sound mode that automatically operates it .The lights are Red LEDS it's a fantastic little device , hubby hasn't stopped playing with it ( he loves all sorts of lighting ) .Priced at just £18.99 it's worth the cost and gives any room an added light feature .

I bought two of these and both were faulty. What are the odds? Well quite high I suppose if Amazon allow the swamping of the store by cheap faulty goods. No one seems to be even pretending that these goods are fit for purpose. They are just relying on many people just not being bothered to return them.

I've fancied getting a star night light projector for a while now but have a small bedroom & felt that the ones I'd seen appeared too large & perhaps over-engineered for the purpose. This one is very small & conveniently plugs into the USB socket in my bedside lamp. The cable is thick & once bent it retains its shape, so I plugged it in, pointed it at the ceiling & it hasn't moved since.Being around half to two-thirds of the price of a more expensive projector I wasn't expecting it to have as many features & it turned out that I was right. It basically projects red star-like small lights onto the walls & ceilings & that's it. The individual points of light vary in strength, a bit like stars but are a uniform distance from one another, unlike stars. I really like the effect though, as well as the atmosphere it creates. And being red, it isn't too bright.I don't bother with the other modes, though. The rotation & strobe settings see the lights moving too fast to be relaxing, plus the patterns created are not at all star-like. I also don't understand why the Amazon description repeatedly suggests using it in the car - why would anyone want to do this?Overall, I like this night light & find the effect very pleasant. But it's not quite there, which makes me want to buy one of the more expensive models instead.

I can see everyone has positive review about this. And I don’t know whether I got the faulty one or something; but I literally used this for 4 days I think and the lights dimmed.Don’t even think I’ll be able to return it because I got rid of the packaging.So I wouldn’t recommend this for lasting expectations.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great compact size USB star light.I have it in black with red light.The projection is bright and clear.It has five lighting modes with easy one button operation. It looks lovely on my ceiling in the room, but also nice in the car.I like its blinking modes but also static ones, it has even mode activated by sounds e. g. music.Small, very easy to use and the effect is better than I've expected, but expensive in comparison to the other similar devices.

It was good for a couple of weeks then it just packed up for some reason

This is a great little compact lazer light device, its USB and therefore could be plugged into a harddrive, a laptop, a car USB port, any USB port really. The connecting lead between the USB plug and the adjuster lens is really firm when you do twist it and angle it to project on a roof or wall or inside a car cabin.The lights that project and the shapes they make can be adjusted to different types, the colour/lazer lens is all a bright red colour, which could perhaps cause eye strain (and I would suppose you are not mean to stare straight into the lens itself).A work buddy has told me that their child has been amused by the light this projects and another has told me it works great as a night light when attached to a USB compatible plug. Recommended.

Worked well, but developed a fault after ten minutes. ( it became very dim after being really bright. Unplugging and replugging in via usb made no difference) Shame because when it worked it was really bright and sharp.
