It also discusses why some foods are beneficial specifically to lipedema and lyphadema. It gets into the science, but in an easy way, plus practical ways to implement. Simple ideas to get diet started with some good general meal plans and recipes. It's very well done. It also goes into specific nutrients and supplements. I started developing pea sized lumps under my thighs during a 2 year low level carbon monoxide poisoning. The CO left me with numerous other health issues including chronic fatigue. I used a diet (SCD) and other interventions to heal. When I did finally have the energy to exercise my legs would tone up. Then I was able to expand my diet in the last 1.5 years but at the same time my legs completely changed, and no longer respond to exercise. They have taken on a life of their own. And the lumps and fat actually hurt. After being told for years they were benign and nothing to worry about, I finally discovered lipedema in google. Finally an explanation. I'm waiting for an appointment for a dx but want to start right away on getting this under control. Looks like I'll be getting back to full time SCD diet but will make sure I include some of the foods and ideas in this book.

ola.livro bem explicado sobre esta doença tao pouco conhecida . roteiro bem feito de assimilação, realmente um guia para a vida toda.indiquei para muitas pessoas. a maioria nao aceita que tem a doença. acha exagero ..... eu estou bem consciente dos problemas do lipedema agora. grata

hat sich mal jemand mit der Ernährung bei Lip- und Lymphödem auseinandergesetzt. Ich habe das Buch innerhalb von zwei Tagen verschlungen, muss allerdings dazu sagen, dass ich bereits die theoretischen und wissenschaftlichen Grundlagen dieser Ernährungsansatz aufgebaut ist (richtig essen - länger leben, eat to Beat diseases von William Li) mir bereits vertraut war. Im Buch wird differenziert auf die Nahrungsmittel eingegangen, welche das körperliche Leiden von Betroffenen mit Lip- und Lymphen tagtäglich verbessern und lindern können. Mit beispielhaften Tagesplänen, Einkauflisten und diversen Tabellen wird versucht die Ernährung so anschaulich wie möglich zu machen. Auch Nahrungsergänzungsmittel werden diskutiert. Für Betroffene könnte diese Buch ein Wegbegleiter für den Weg der Besserung sein. Es ist leider bisher nur in Englisch erschienen. Ich werde es definitiv an Betroffene weiterempfehlen.
