You must have some music theory knowledge to use this book. it uses terms that i had to look up and even then it's hard to understand. Music theory is hard. Harder than a physics course i took. i would not recommend this book to beginners or those who do not have a teacher handy

The book was very informative for a new student in music. I recommend to also a music dictionary with to look up terms and definitions.

I love how the author made it very easy for new learners to actually understand reading music. I looked forward to learning from this book everyday. There are test at the end of the sessions as well. I would very much recommend this book for beginners.

I haven't worked through the whole book just yet due to caring responsibilities and moving home but I have leaned so much and been able to memorize the notes so far, better than reading other sources which has enhanced my playing ability.
