This item is everything I want in a holder: - Beautiful and stylish - Holds the FX-888D wand perfectly - Has a counter-push about 2" past the opening that keeps your wand perfectly aligned vertically, so I imagine it would hold just about any iron - Has a brass sponge holder with sufficient opening - Big/heavy enough to not slide around without taking up too much space It is a bit bigger than I anticipated, but not overly so. For anyone who is looking for a functional iron holder I highly recommend this one, and since it comes with the brass sponge and brass sponge holder it can't be beat. If you have an FX-888D I also highly recommend you check out the T18-BR02 tip. The tip is bent at about 30Β° which makes it extremely easy to get into tight spaces, and enables you to hold the end of the tip flush against the PCB while your hand is at a comfortable angle. Holds mine very well. I ordered the Hakko Iron Holder 633-01 w/ 599B and the Hakko Desoldering Kit, with the 808 Desoldering Gun, 120 VAC with built in vacuum pump last year - Feb. 2013. The 633-01 holder works great with the Hakko 808 as well as soldering irons.
