A Perfect Pet for Peyton: A 5 Love Languages Discovery Book

As a psychotherapist, I was able to utilize this book for group counseling with emotional/ behavioral disabled students to teach the importance on how to "give"and recieve "love". I need to say that it was a blessing to experience their ability to get involve in the roles of each character and provide feedback and understanding to each other about this great and important concept of love languages. A Pet for Peyton is an adventure that will take kids and adults in a journey that teaches, entertaints and makes one identify the 5 love languages in an remarkable way. *just a tip for counselors or teachers: after reading the book and completing the quiz. I had student cut out a heart template and look through magazines of pictures that represent their top two love languages and glue them on their heart. It was very exciting to see how they could memorize and reflect on the actions and emotions related to their love language. Enjoyed your 5 love languages with your kids. God Bless you !!!!

if you heard about love language it is great book to aproche the subject with kids and lesrn about your child love language it seemed boaring at the begining but they have lots of beautiful colors and quizzes make your child love to jump to the other page it has tests at the end for you to discover aboit your child. great price for the value of the biok

Per a friend's recommendation, I purchased this book to support my children (9,7, & 4 yrs). The children's feedback is invaluable after reading the book. They each quickly identified with one of the characters and with the guided questions provided, my relationship with each one has evolved. I now make sure that I factor in their love language. Thank you Mr. Chapman! PS. It's improved all my relations.

I love the five love languages and often talk to groups about it. I was going to a MOPS group and ordered this book to check it out. It is a great read and fun interaction activities on every page. It throws in the love languages and explains it in a simple way. If you understand the love languages this book isn't going to help you figure out your child's any better, but it is a cute story.

This is an adorable book that I suggest all loved ones get for their littles. My daughter took a very keen interest in it and asks for me to read it every night so that she can take the quiz at the end. It helps to build up our mother/daughter bond and learn each other's love languages. I will warn you though, it is VERY long for a children's book.

Great book!! Our kids (5 & 2) love it, and although my husband and I were already quite familiar with the 5 love languages, it taught us something new as well and shifted our perspective on our son and what his main love languages are. Very good! Informative, but fun. The kids are learning without even realizing it.

Fun book but not worth the price. I was expecting the "free test" to be a lot more impressive. I honestly think it's a fun one time read and that's about it. Will be returning.

Great story for illustrating the 5 love languages

"A Perfect Pet for Peyton" is Chapman's children's book that uses examples how different animals relate to children demonstrate the love languages to children. Each child's love language is related to their multiple loving actions and how their perfect pet expresses love. The examples include a helping border collie dog for acts of service, a giving monkey for gifts, a cuddly bunny for touch, a cat that loves following and spending time with people for quality time, and a sweet parrot for words of affirmation. Why each pet is paired with that child is explained in a way for kids to grasp the concept. This book not only was enjoyable time spent with my kids, it ended up giving me a strong visual of the 5 love languages. My children (3.5 and 5 years old) loved it and enjoyed discussing it as we read. They also liked the mini activities on each page (simple seek and finds). I have read this book off of my iphone, ipad and computer (the only minor issue was the insects were to small to find on the iphone).

Our 9 year old son likes this book very much. It is a very good book indeed.

Fantastic book - based on the 5 languages of love, that are also an important tool for adults in all kinds of relationships. Easy and comfortable way to lead kids early into finding awareness for who they are and why they react and feel how they do. My son is 6.5, and can already related to this concept and it helps him relate to others.

Everything was ok, delivery was fast. I started to read the book immediatley and I love it. I recommend for everyone!
