Sewing Scissors by Drency. Premium 9.5 Inch Stainless Steel Tailor and Dressmaker Scissor Shears

I gave these scissors a 5 star because of the quality of them. I ordered them because of the excellent reviews. Unfortunately I could not use them because of my rheumatoid and osteoarthritis in my hands. The handle holes are not large enough to accept my bent fingers. These are really nice looking scissors and sharp. I tried to cut some muslin material with them and my thumb got irritated because of the size of the opening. It wasn't the scissors, it is my hands. For a normal person these would be perfect. Also, the weight of them is heavier than I personally could handle. In most cases I would imagine these would be the perfect pair of dressmaker scissors. I offered to return them and make an exchange with the company but they refused and told me to keep them. I will pass them on to someone who will make use of them as it would be a shame to just let them sit in a drawer. It is always good to pass on good intentions and let those know how I acquired these. This is a good company to deal with and I send my blessings to them for being so kind.

They are very high quality dressmakers shears. Good weight and excellent sharpness. My only complaint is that while they came securely packaged and the shears were not damaged, however, the box was damaged and dirty, and the shears were also kind of grimy with finger prints all over them like they were used or something. We cleaned them up and they are very nice so we will keep them, but it is kind of icky to get a product that appears used when you expecting shiny new shears.

I just received these and haven't had time to fully test them out however, what I have used them for, they have been fantastic. They're a very solid pair of scissors and glide through the fabric with ease - at least the fabric I have used them on thus far. The cut is crisp and the blades are sharp enough for a heavier weighted fabric. I have small hands and was worried that they would be too big to use; they are big but manageable. The follow up from the company is fantastic. Completely satisfied with this purchase right now. If that ever changes, I will update.

These are nice and heavy-duty (and pretty, I liked the gold) but the first time I used them they did not close all the way down to the ends. The right blade crosses over the left when closing the cut on fabric then gets stuck open with about an inch to go at the tips. I have to pull them open and apart to get them to close correctly and cut all the way down. They're either bent or were assembled crooked and I can't get them to work properly. I bought these specifically to cut through heavier weight fabrics - which they do just fine - but I'm disappointed in the quality because they simply don't work like a pair of scissors should.

These scissors are sharp, accurate, cut thru many layers of fabric, and sturdy. I have very large hands, and the finger holes on these scissors are large enough that they are comfortable for me to use. I have been sewing for many years - I am 76 now and I bought my first sewing machine when I was a junior in high school - you do the math. And of all the scissors I have ever used, these are by far the best!

i got my scissors yesterday and were so surprised at how beautiful and functional these scissor were. Very sharp and cut through fabric like butter. Yet very beautiful and in a equally lovely gift box. Any Seamtress, Tailor or crafter would be very happy with these as a gift. Simply wonderful, heirloom quality. I am more than happy with my purchase.

My daughter loves to sew and I got her these scissors for her birthday. She loves them, she said that they glide through material so nicely and they feel good in her hand. I like that they came in a box, she keeps them in the box so her dad doesn't mistakenly see them and use them to cut paper.

Amazing. Cuts through 4 layers of fabric very easily.
