Well made and easy to install.
This is a great product! It replaces the original tailgate release handle and fits like OEM. One of the best things about this product is the inclusion of a very long video cable which is bundled with an second wire. I have a SuperCrew cab with the 6.5' bed and the cable reached the entire length of the truck with plenty left over. I used the short trigger leg as a ground for the camera. I did this because my head unit can display the camera image even when not in reverse and has a separate reverse trigger wire. I didn't use the backup lines, which are on by default with this camera, as my head allows for adjustable backup lines. Splicing the tiny wires to turn off the back up lines was the only fussy part of the installation. Kit includes camera and tailgate release, long cable extension, zip ties, and cable sheathing. I have seen some reviews complain that the handle broke, but I suspect those may have been the chrome version, because the black version I purchase is every bit as rugged as the original handle. If I get a chance I'll post some images later.

Extremely cheap plastic parts that will break.
The handle part of this is EXTREMELY cheap. After a couple years of use the plastic broke, leaving the tailgate inoperable. I strongly suggest that you remove the pin from your factory tailgate assembly and swap out the parts. At the very least, compare the quality and density of the plastic that actuated the tailgate and know that you will be stranded without use of your tailgate. If you’re like me, you’ll have a tonneau cover on, and will lose complete access to the bed of your truck

Great product, especially for aftermarket!
Exactly what I needed and works perfect! Handle/camera was simple to install (took only minutes) and after a few head bumps 'n bruises under the truck and about an hour, got the video cable installed. Use this with my camera enabled GPS to hook up to the travel trailer and boat; very clear picture gives me just what I need to hitch the trailer first time. No more backing up, getting out to align, back up again, etc., etc. - time saver!

It broke
Replaced my handle so I could have a backup camera, but it broke after only 6 months of use. Plastic doesn’t appear to be the same as oem.“Update”After seeing my review, the “seller” contacted me and wanted to warranty his product, “which he did!” So the seller gets 5 stars for standing behind what he sells. The handle fits and looks like a oem product, so 5 stars for that. As far as durability goes...we will see how long the new one last. Overall I would buy from this seller again.

Awesome backup camera
After 4-5 trips to Best Buy to get a new stereo and backup camera for my son's Ford F150 and the insane learning experience related to the complexity associated with changing the electronics (i.e., touch screen radio, control panel and back up camera), the technician suggested that I buy this back up camera. The point being, do your homework before buying this stuff... Anyway, I bought this camera and had it connected to a Pioneer stereo. I went with camera versus the Pioneer camera because of placement and view. This camera is mounted inside the tailgate release handle. The reason I went with this camera versus the license plate mounted cameras is that it provides a much better view. It works wonderfully. BTW, for whatever its worth, based on what I learned about these stereos and cameras, it is worth paying a professional to install them. It is NOT a trivial process. Last point, I did not rate the durability because we have only had the camera for a month or so. Therefore I cannot comment on the durability, but so far so good.

Fit is perfect on a 2007 Ford F-150 Lariat
Fit is perfect on a 2007 Ford F-150 Lariat. The cable supplied is more than enough to go from the back of a Supercrew to the front, ran through wire loom, ground at the reverse lights, power in the cab. Barrel connector fits tightly at the tailgate, they included some wire loom so you can run it through your tailgate without the cable getting scraped up and losing the shielding. I have it connected to a Pioneer AVHX3800BHS 2-DIN Receiver with 6.2" Display/Built-In Bluetooth/Siri Eyes Free/AppRadio One/HD Radio -- works perfectly. I had an issue with the cable at the camera having separated, they sent me out a replacement within two days.I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a reverse camera, picture is crystal clear and there's a loop you can clip to get rid of the guidelines if you want. Looks factory.

Factory Quality, easy installation, excellent customer service.
Purchased this product to install on my 2015 F250. It fit perfectly was a very easy installation. Factory quality same as the oem handle I removed. The camera is clear and crisp in day and night situations. Looks factory and far better than a cheap over the license plate one. Came with an adapter harness that goes from the camera to a splice in the reverse light and all the way to the cab for the monitor. I cut up the wire harness to splice in a wireless transmitter that I later changed. I sent an email to PYvideo Sunday afternoon asking if you would be possible to order another extension cable? Shawn with PY wrote me back that Sunday afternoon and had one in the mail to me Monday morning. Great product, great price, excellent customer service. Would be happy to recommend and will be making future purchases for my fleet vehicles from PYvideo.

Easy install for shad tree types
Installed a couple of weeks ago in my 2008 Ford F150 Supercab. Installation was pretty easy, I watched a YouTube video on removing old tailgate handle and lock mechanism that made it a cinch.Be aware, my kit did not include any wiring loom, but I found a 14' roll at my local Harbor Freight that was just enough for wire run from tailgate bottom port to drivers taillight and then inside driverside suicide door jamb.I pigtailed off drivers rear taillight backup light to power camera. Connected RCA jack into head unit and connected backup sensor from passenger side fuse kick panel (another YouTube video helped with that). For the money, it's a great kit. Would have liked if wire loom was included but not a deal breaker. The handle itself is molded nicely and I got the chrome handle to dress it up a little.Additionally, the camera gives me a great view of my ball hitch so hopefully no more backing up and stopping 30X to connect a trailer.
