In Grade 9-1 GCSE English Literature, Geography, History and RS, 5% of the marks are now awarded for spelling, punctuation and grammar. This CGP book is a clear and succinct guide to avoiding common SPaG mistakes, with plenty of useful advice for picking up as many marks as possible. There are also practice questions for each topic to test studentsโ understanding of the important points. For even more practice, a CGP Spelling, Punctuation & Grammar Workbook for GCSE is also available, matched topic-for-topic with this Study Guide - see 9781782942191. Review: Excellent book for GCSE students - I always buy this for my GCSE tutees / students and its companion workbook. Really helps to address any issues with SPaG so they don't lose marks in their exam questions that get marked for this. Both can be used by students or teachers due to the user-friendly layout and presentation. Review: Highly recommended. - Great book, even if my 16-year old refused to use it. Probably would have shifted his A to an A*, instead of being 2 points off the A*. Fortunately I have a daughter who wants to ensure she gets A* for English, to spite her brother. I'm happy for the motive, if it improves her skills.

Great study books
Great study books. My daughter is doing her GCSE's and needs to brush up on her English. These books are child friendly as they use teenage language, cartoon pictures and humor. Also, they are broken down into small study sections with self assessments. They also follow they curriculum but check with your teacher first.
