Daiwa J-Braid 300M 8-Strand Woven Round Braid Line

Diameter of this braid is really thin it’s easy to cast as great knot strength and last so long keeps color well to highly recommend.

There’s no better braid on the market in my opinion, great knot performance and no wind knots ever. I’ve also never lost a fish to the line failing. Will be a customer for life!

This is my go to braid line. I like the island blue color. The line is much thinner and smoother than power pro and allows me to cast further.

First I really like this braided line. I use it on most of my light poles. I recently found out it not the thinnest braided line for rated size(it’s one of the largest of most brand names) but for the reel I use it’s fine and most people won’t notice if they don’t look at line rating vs others. The casting ability is very good and the cost is reasonable. I fish with this everyday on my ultra light set up and has held up to my very aggressive style of whipping in saltwater.

Bought the 8-strand multicolor 20lb J-braid. Very satisfied with it. It’s about the thickness of 6lb mono. The braid feels smooth like mono. It does not feel like it will cut my finger whenever I whip. I do not use gloves or anything on my finger. I usually whip with 1oz lead or bubble floaters. I also like to watch the different colors when I cast which sort of gives me an idea of how far I’m casting. I have not had any wind knots yet. The braid has no stretch which makes it more sensitive. I whip through reef areas and have not had any problems with the braid fraying or cutting. Most times my lead or hook will get stuck on the reef forcing me to break my line. My only gripe would be the color bleeds a little. So if you run your fingers on the line it will make a colored line on your fingers. Other than that it is a great line and looks great spooled.

I love the low Diawa pricing and super smoothness of the line. The abrasion resistance and color fastness is equivalent to the higher priced Power Pro Super8slick while actually getting 8 strands, not just 4. I will no longer be wasting my money on Power Pro. Being Made in Japan, not china, makes a big difference in quality too. Powerpro Superslick loses its color, frays too easily and is too pricey in comparison. Regular PowerPro is way too noisy to use, despite the lower cost. This line is perfect for my needs.

Exactly what I was hoping for

65lb 330yd fills the reel with around 50yd left over. Fairly abrasion resistant some color comes off but there's no waxy residue. Maxcuatro is still the king of braid but this J-Braid is 8/10 and much cheaper and soft on the hands.

Smooth silky and tough. What else can you ask for in your line

The sound tells how much friction you have and Diawa J8 is silent when reeling in.Smooth casting and consistency with the construction means that you won't have to worry about any weak spots when your bringing in that memorable catch.It does loose the color so keep a dark green marker handy to touch it up once in a while.
