I have forklift battery 24 volt setup 480 amp what's the number would you recommend to set it up shut down

This can not be used on a forklift. You will need a contactor (relay) capable of handling the full load of the motor, probably many hundreds of amps. That said, the BatteryProtect can trigger a remote relay, but that function would be better accomplished with a battery monitor, like the Victron BMV-700, also connected to a large relay. The battery monitor can also be set to alarm when the battery gets low.

is this suitable for under hood applications? Would engine bay temp or damp conditions be an issue?

No. The BP series is not suitable for this purpose.

I want to use my RV is this a standalone product or does it need another device to input parameters for the battery to shut off at a certain voltage?

This is a programmable low voltage cut off device. Great for Lithium battery management. Only shuts off when the battery voltage falls to an assigned level. Read the brochure on how to set the shut off voltage. Does not control charging voltage.

Is there a similar product for overcharge protection? The charge controller can server as primary disconnect. Need redundant product for backup.
