Makita E-01345 Impact XPS Mag Boost

I have the older version of this, but I wanted to try this new design, and I am very happy with it. It looks great and works well.

I bought the Makita Impact XPS Mag Boost to help keep screws in place while working overhead and in tight spots, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The magnet is strong enough to hold fasteners securely without getting in the way, and it installs easily. Build quality is good, as you’d expect from Makita. No cheap feel—just a simple, well-made accessory that works. It’s one of those small add-ons that ends up being more useful than you think.

Save your money. I have more than dozen of makita tools and though this will be same quality, but fail to impress me.

I didn’t find it held screws very much better than without it

Very tiny but works well

I use a DeWalt impact driver almost every day, and even with that, this Makita Mag Boost works great. The magnet is very strong and holds the screws much better than I expected. At first I thought this was just another small tool accessory, but now I use it all the time. It helps a lot when working fast or in tight places because the bit feels more stable and I drop way fewer screws. It saves time, makes the job cleaner, and honestly makes the work easier. These small upgrades make a big difference when you use your tools daily. I tried cheaper similar options before and they didn’t feel as solid. Small tool, but definitely worth having in the toolbox if you work with an impact driver often.
