It’s brass and it’s a hose barb what more can I say. Threads were perfect and they worked just as I needed.

These fittinga are very nice. The npt ends fit perfect and the hose barb fits 3/8 fuel line perfect. It threaded gre a t into a 3/8 female. These are very affordable and a good value. I cant imagine these will leak, the threads fit perfectly (especially if you use oil safe thread dope). I am happy with these, great value and saved me time going to the harware store to get the same ones but twice the price

I picked up this fitting to fix an annoying issue with my ultrasonic parts washer. The unit came with a plastic drain fitting that wasn’t the right size for the PVC tubing I wanted to use, so the factory part was pretty much useless for my setup. I needed a simple, reliable way to connect PVC tubing to the drain, and this did the trick. Fitment-wise, it was spot on. The threads matched the drain port on my parts washer, and the barb end grabbed the PVC tubing exactly the way I wanted. Once everything was tightened down, I had a solid, leak-free connection. For something that should be simple but often turns into a headache when sizes don’t match, it was a relief to have this just work. The only minor downside was the threading. Out of the package, the threads weren’t the cleanest. There were a few rough spots and a bit of extra material that made them look a little sloppy. That said, it wasn’t a deal-breaker for me. A quick brushing/clean-up of the threads and they were fine, and everything threaded in and sealed up without any actual functional issues. In day-to-day use on the parts washer, it’s been totally uneventful, which is exactly what I want from a fitting like this. No leaks, no loosening, and no weird surprises. It’s doing its job quietly in the background, letting me drain the tank through my PVC line without any drama. Pros: • Perfect fit for my parts washer drain and PVC tubing • Once cleaned up, threads work and seal properly • No leaks or performance issues so far Cons: • Threads were a little rough out of the box and needed a quick cleanup I’m happy with it overall. It solved my problem cleanly and inexpensively, and now my drain setup is exactly how I wanted it. It does the job well, just held back slightly by rough threads out of the package.
