I needed a fan that was flush mount and silent. I had it installed by an electrician and am extremely pleased with its performance. It has a reverse mode to pull air upward and forward mode to push air down. It comes with a remote control by the bed and another control installed in the wall to control the fan and light which is on a dimmer. It is flush mount, just like in the picture, and runs very quietly. I recently noticed a slight ticking noise and called Craftmade Customer Service (800-486-4892) who advised me to check if anything was loose on the fan. Once I tightened the glass cover over the light, the slight ticking noice disappeared. I highly recommend this product. See video

We are refurbishing a 35 year old home and looking to update all the fixtures. We chose this Craftsmade Fan flush mount for its looks and low-profile as we only have 8' ceilings. Installation was very easy. In fact, it was easier than most of the bathroom light fixtures we have been doing as part of this effort. Directions were quite clear but read them thoroughly!It took me about an hour and a half, working alone to install. Fan comes with 2 remotes, 1 for the wall installation and one to be put into the hand-held case (also provided). 3 colored face plates to match your existing wall plates (white, almond or cream, and black. One thing to note, if you are replacing an old fan that utilized 2 switches (1 for fan motor, 1 for light), you will no longer need the second slot so you will need to purchase a new plate like the one shown in my photo above with a plain cover for the blank slot. Fan is very quiet and light dimmer works well - turns back on to the last dimmer level you had set.

Fan itself looks nice and seems to work well. Install was reasonable. LED seems dimmer than it needs to be but I expected that from spec. The wall remote doesn't sit flush with included white surround though, and shows ugly black gap. It's also inelegant switch solution for the "main" light in a bedroom. Seven tiny buttons plus slight delay in responsiveness is definitely a step backwards from previous basic fan/light switch. Reverse is used maybe twice a year, and there is an unused second light button taking up space. Hard to just walk in flip on light without looking. Next time I'll hardwire a different remote.

The first one we received didn't work at all so we had to return it for another one. Thank god the second one actually works since each time it took my contractor a while to install it.Yes, it makes clicking sounds. Not all the time, but most of the time.Yes, it's flush mount but not the most low-profile flush mount. We have pretty low ceilings so luckily it's mounted over a couch where no tall person would walk by and risk getting their head swiped by a fan blade.The remote is super ghetto, it's essentially the wall switch with a battery panel that you put inside these cheapy black plastic housing they give you.

This is a great looking fan that I purchased because I have a low ceiling in the bedroom and this has a very high clearance because of the integrated LED lamp. I am dinging it one star because the motor hums even on low speed. I was hoping a fan at this price range would have a silent motor. The fan it replaced was a crappy fan that came with the house and was about 30 years old, it owed me nothing but I did appreciate the silence.Manual is extremely well written with no spelling or grammatical errors that are so common on goods these day, clearly it went through many revisions to get it almost perfect and easy to follow. This fan is heavy! Make sure your ceiling can support it. Another plus is the wall switch, in a house almost 100 years old, all I have is two wires going to the fan, the wall switch controls all functions of the light and comes with a spare that can be used as a table top remote control (comes with clamshell case for this purpose).I am very critical of light quality and I find this LED to be of the right color, warm but not orange and certainly not harsh or cool. I didn't really care about the lamp but was pleasantly surprised at the temperature of the light.Disappointed with the motor hum.

Craftmade is an excellent manufacturer as I've purchased several of these same fans from them direct. The one I purchased here on Amazon had damaged fan blades and was found to be inoperable after being installed by my regular licensed electrician. Amazon took it back and refunded the purchase price, but did not refund the cost of assembly, installation, taking it down, disassembly and repackaging necessary to return the product by my electrician.Amazon policy is no refunds if you use your own trusted installers. Using Amazon's more costly installers will get you a refund for labor on inoperable, faulty products requiring return.

Fan is pretty and flush over our bed - just what we wanted. We had an electrician install it so we didn’t pay attention to how it went together. A year and a half in, the remote stopped working. After lots of looking, figured out it has a battery in the front of it. Then after two years the fan would only work on one speed and the light stopped working. Convinced it was the switch, I googled the switch number to buy a replacement and found out from the comments that the switch in the wall has a battery just like the remote. Of course if we had installed the fan ourselves or read the manual we would have figured this out. Now after new batteries, which they have at regular box stores like target, Walmart and Lowe’s, fan and remote work great again. Took off one star because light is custom and not sure how easy it will be to find a replacement in the future.
