This part seems identical to the faulty one I’ve removed. Very easy to install, self explanatory once you know how to open the bonnet and remove the lock. YouTube came in handy for learning how to do that. Fits perfectly on 2010 Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 works as it should so far I would definitely recommend for the price it’s been well worth it. I will update If the quality has any issues

Got this item after my bonnet catch failed to open no matter what jiggling of the key I did. I followed a YouTube video and it took about 25 minutes to replace the old lock, with the most difficult step being prising out a cross shaped bit of plastic (the culprit) from the latch. It’s fiddly no doubt, but not particularly complicated to install. Item works perfectly and will store spare key in glove box. Given the item has the same bit of plastic that was originally causing the problem, it probably won’t last forever, but hopefully outlives the car. In any case I could replace it another 10 times before spending the same as getting a mechanic to do it.

Failed after three days. Now I have to break and replace the grille (or very carefully remove it) to open the bonnet.

I bought this lock after I was unable to open my bonnet on my Ford Focus Mk 2, 2010 zetec 1.6. I watched a YouTube video and this was a link in the description. Though my grille was not as shown in the video and took a lot of effort to remove, once that was done this lock was fitted in less than 5 minutes. It comes with 2 keys so I didn't have to change the barrel or make up a lock to match my old key. It worked straight away and looks exactly the same as the original Ford part.

Arrived next day which was excellent. Mechanic fitted following day 🙂 Previous lock lasted about 5 years. Need to edit this, lock hasn’t even lasted a month 😡, tried to open bonnet this Saturday 10th May, to top up screen wash, for first time since it was fitted on the 14th April by mechanic, will not open 😡. Just cost me £££ today to get him to came back and take it out and see if lock can be fixed , it can’t.🙄

Does work for fixing the bonnet issue however doesn't last long. Bought one back in April and 6 months later it's broken and needs replacing again.

Come sempre, Amazon quando spedisce un pacco e' preciso con la data di consegna. Ho montato la serratura completa, risulta molto semplice...non sono un meccanico o carrozziere. Prodotto di qualita', sembra meglio dell'originale. Attenzione alla lunghezza del kit...molti mettono Mk2 ma non si adattano tutte. Evitate di comprare quelle telescopiche...sono molto fragili. Per adesso funziona bene. Comunque lo consiglio.
