Q: Which is the top of the bed pan

The part of the bed pan with the higher end and the little handle, goes in front; the flatter end is positioned toward the back near the coccyx. Use the handle to pull or adjust it as needed. Hope this helps.

Q: Is this suitable for sitting, or is it better for lying down?

It’s really not good either way. My husband was 6’ and 190lbs and it was very uncomfortable either way. Maybe it’s better for a much smaller person- but didn’t work for us at all.

Q: What is depth at highest point? I think I have same one but handle broke I want to get same 1 to replace it, what are width & length? thanks.
