A unique and satisfying experience
I never buy games on pre-order. I'm the kind of person who can wait for months, buy it on discount, and then resell it for a profit. But Naughty Dog has won my trust over the years, with the Uncharted titles being for me the best blend of action, adventure, story, and exquisite art direction. They just don't make movies like these any more, and I couldn't help myself. (It also doesn't hurt that Amazon gives you a 20% pre-order discount, making the price easier to swallow) Uncharted 4 is the last of the Nathan Drake stories. The graphics are nothing short of amazing. Bear in mind that the PS4 is weaker than my 7 year old PC from the point of view of compute power, and has a GPU that's weaker than the one I bought in 2013. That's pretty weak stuff, but I never saw anything on the PC that even comes close to how pretty Uncharted 4 looks. Heck, if you compare Uncharted 4 to the latest Pixar movie, you'll see that in many ways, the Pixar movie cuts corners and goes for an art direction that favors computer animation, and requires gobs of rendering power while the game goes for a realistic (albeit gorgeously beautiful) look and yet is rendered in real time by the PS4. Just thinking about it makes me want to pick up my jaw from the floor when I think about the experience. The thing with these "movies as game" video game experiences is that it's all about pacing. Uncharted 4 has a very different pacing than Uncharted 2, the (previous) best of the series. While only 2 chapters in Uncharted 2 had a "walking simulator" feel to the game, that sort of pacing and free roam exploring with no threats occupies huge sections of Uncharted 4. This gives the player plenty of room to breathe, but unfortunately also adds to the game as far as being sort of a "one shot". A lot of the value of the game goes away on a repeated play through. The music, art direction and action sequences are all very well done (though the boss fight at the end is a bit of a let down). But what makes the game work is the consistent attention to story: the characters are treated with respect, and at every reveal, we're drawn further into the story. At this point, let me provide a spoiler warning so you read no further if you haven't played it and the story matters to you. The story takes place years after Uncharted 3, when Nathan Drake has settled down to a boring job as a technical diver. Then his long lost brother Sam shows up and we go into a flash back as we finally learn how the Drake brothers got their names, and how that quest led to the current state of affairs. Note that Sam's never been mentioned in any of the previous games, so this bit of ret-conning strains any suspension of disbelief you might have had, but it's done decently such that you don't feel like it's too wrong. Sam, of course, is lying through and through, but again, it's a reflection of what's been driving Nathan Drake through the previous games. The quest takes you from Italy to Madagascar, and the flashbacks get you a view of Panama. It's all very pretty. There are lots of references to the previous games throughout the story. If you've played through all the other stories, I think you'll get a lot more out of Uncharted 4 than someone who just started with this latest (and supposedly last) installment. I think above all, Uncharted 4 sells you on the character relationships and what they do for each other. And it doesn't do it just in dialogue and cut scenes, but also in the way the characters act. In one of the early scenes, I had Nathan Drake to a stealth take down of an enemy, and I fully expected to have to immediately turn and take out the enemy next to him. To my surprise, I saw that Sam Drake had already taken down the other enemy. I was stunned. To my mind, this is why the Uncharted series does better than even the rebooted Tomb Raider. When playing as Lara Croft, you feel as though the world is full of idiots who can't even find something that's right in front of them without you having to "quest" for it. As Nathan Drake, you're part of a team --- your wife might take out the enemy who's shooting at you, your brother might be trying to distract another one, while your old buddy Sully's scrambling to catch up to you. You're rarely alone in this game and as a result you feel much better about its milieu. This is not to say that Uncharted 4 is perfect: it's not. As a game, the Tomb Raider series does a better job: the cover system's better, and the collectibles and upgradeable weapons all provide crunchy mechanics that force you to make full use of your skill. But none of the characters in Tomb Raider ever make you feel like you should care about them (not even Lara Croft), while that's not true in Uncharted 4. Needless to say, Uncharted 4 comes highly recommended. While I wouldn't go so far as to say that you should buy a PS4 just for the game, I'd say that if you own a PS4, you owe it to yourself to play it. After you're done picking your jaw up from the floor, you might consider that it's not very replayable and sell it, but while you're playing it there's no question that this is a unique and satisfying experience.

Take a bow,Naughty dog! A brilliant achievement in the world of gaming!
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - PlayStation 4 Uncharted 4 has been nothing short of breathtaking story-telling with a healthy dose of nostalgia of the series blended together into a bowl full of picture-perfect visuals! Ever since the credits rolled out, there was a feeling of despair because this is truly the end of one of gaming's most loved series and protagonists. After having played through the game multiple times at varying difficulty,I would be confident in saying that some of the most read review websites seem to be clawing at the game desperate for some flaws to point out. However, my only advice---IGNORE THEM! Step back and realise that a journey like this series and a finale like this game are rare even in the movie Industry. Let's start with the most important thing in present day gaming - Story - 10/10. Without making it like a Fuller House cringe-worthy first episode with famous characters crammed onto one stage with cliche dialogues,Uncharted 4 touches on memories and characters in a very meaningful way.The story is definitely sometimes predictable but "hey, its an uncharted game!Did you expect space travel?"(Wait, didn't the developer say they had an idea for an uncharted set in space but dropped it?") Old and new characters make appearances and the story moves in a way with enough twists and turns and shocks that keep you hooked and playing chapter after chapter.Master storytelling! Graphics - 10/10.Naughty Dog.Uncharted game.Need I say more?Maybe just one.Once I discovered the photo mode option,I couldn't stop clicking pics! That says a lot about how gorgeous the game looks if I am actually pausing the game to click snaps! Sound & Voice Acting - 10/10. Henry Jackman (the music composer)gets it perrrfect with the background score and the voice actors do a great job of making your experience truly immersive in every way!Great writing and great voice actors! This game is truly one of gaming's greatest achievements. One that leaves you wanting more of the characters and their stories.Uncharted 4 has achieved the perfect balance of capturing moments of pure human emotion followed by a torrent of bullets and enemies from all sides! Uncharted 4 is a game not just worth your time but deserves your time!Be a part of the history and go play today!

ABOUT THE PACKAGE Arrived on time and it perfect sealed condition
ABOUT THE PACKAGE Arrived on time and it perfect sealed condition. No cracks or dents in the case and zero scratches on the disk. ABOUT THE GAME If you're a fan of the Uncharted series, you will love this game. The world is immersive and the story is an emotional ride filled with nostalgia and the overbearing sense you know the story of Nathan Drake is coming to an end. In this game, you will learn more about the origins of Nathan Drake while also fighting for his future. Although, yes, I can confirm this is our last game with Nathan Drake, the Uncharted series still has a future according to the Epilogue. However, I will allow you to discover that for yourself. The gameplay and controls do not vary much at all from previous games. The game balances shoot 'em ups with detailed exploration. You'll never be worn out or bored with either. The puzzles in each chapter are relatively easy since Nathan writes out the solutions in his notebook. You should not get stuck for long. Throughout the game, except for a few select chapters, you will have an AI partner. Be it Nathan's brother Sam, or his wife, Elena, they know to get out of your way, won't get stuck, will sneak or fight as you do, and you can even climb over them, when hanging from rocky ledges. In summary, the AI partner will never slow you down or hamper your progress. Are they a decent shot? Do they take down enemies? Eh, sort of. They'll help you sneak a double-take-down, but they take more time to kill anyone with a gun than you do. My only frustrations with the game stem from two places. In the later chapters, the game starts to act like Uncharted 3, which, in my opinion, did not have the best ideas. This means you better make sure you have the right guns and the right ammo because you'll be facing an army from shotgunners sneaking up behind you to armored machine gunners raining bullets down upon you in a death march. Most covers will be destroyed by these bullets, so you have to keep moving. This makes it incredibly difficult to catch your breath in the midst of combat as enemies keep closing in and all the available ammo is in the open field. Like Uncharted 3, they really overdid it with the intensity of the gun battles in the late chapters. The second place I found not frustration, but disappointment, was in the unlockables. In previous games, you could collect treasures to unlock things such as extra costumes for Nathan. You could choose to play as the of his enemies or his allies throughout the game. While you can still unlock all the guns and infinite ammo by collecting treasures, the only skins you can unlock are the outfits the character has worn throughout the game---(which is nothing with a 'wow' factor)---AND you can only equipt that skin/outfit on the character it's meant for. That means, no, you cannot play as Sam or Elena or anyone other than Nathan Drake. You can only change their outfits. The unlockables were pretty dull in this game compared to others. I do enjoy the game modifiers though such as "Rainbowland" or the chipmunk voices. There's even "8-bit" if you want to pretend you're playing a retro arcade game. I have not played the multiplayer yet, so no feedback there. All in all, an excellent addition to the Uncharted series. I am curious to see what Nathan Drake's legacy will inspire. If you've played all the previous games in the series, you'll enjoy all the small details that invoke your nostalgia. See past treasures and artifacts from previous games pop up various times throughout the game. You really get the sense Nathan Drake's story is coming full circle.

Ridiculous
I never in a million years thought i would say that a linear style game would become my favorite game of all time. Dethroning Souls games, Zelda, And every open world RPG i played. I can honestly say Uncharted 4 is literally the greatest game i have ever played.. Im currently writing this review very sleep deprived. I have been playing it for over 14 hours straight. I was expecting an experience simillar to past Uncharted titles. While it is still technically the same style of game. Uncharted 4 is literally uncomprehendable in how good the action moments are, story telling, cinematics, and obviously how graphically superior it is. I typically do not get excited for action games with a linear path. But Uncharted does something i literally have never seen before. Every time you start an enemy encounter followed by jaw dropping cinematics. You suddenly forget you are playing an action game and become 100% immersed in this adventure. My most memorable experience is playing through the section you saw in the E3 trailer. Yes.. Even though i already saw that section in the game prior to playing. I could not believe what was happening. The fire fight was extremely tense, followed by an amazing vehicle chase/getaway.. All while the most insane cinematics/animations were unfolding before my eyes. It was a perfect balance of a thrilling gameplay that got my heart rate up. While at the same time looking at astonishment as things like cars blew up and went tumbling. It all seemed so real. Things like driving into food stands became the highlight of the game. Due to the fact that the way hundreds of items went flying into the air in a way that seemed so lifelike i could not believe what i was seeing. I can not understand how a game like this is achieved on a ps4... I have not seen a high end PC game do what this game does in terms of gameplay, animations, cinematics, and obviously graphics.. The best way to summarize what its like to play Uncharted 4 is perfect gameplay that just feels crisp and very intense, followed by sweet eye candy as you watch the cinematics in astonishment.. If you only play COD, and Madden.. This is the one REAL game you want to play.

Great Game, but not without its flaws and drawbacks.
Let me get this out of the way, Uncharted 4 is a great game. It is NOT the best game in the series, but that doesn't stop it from being a great game. The visuals are breathtaking... easily some of the best graphics I have ever seen in a game. The characters animations are top notch, the explosions look amazing (and there are a TON of them), and the environments are stunning. The action when its there is a lot of fun and there are some seriously incredible set piece moments that are a blast to play, the problem is that they are just too far apart and the game that is inbetween them is only average. It is very linear, but if you have played Uncharted before you know that, and it doesn't bother me in the least. The issue I have is that there are a lot of very slow portions of the game, especially in the last 1/4 of it, and a LOT of repetition. It often feels like you are doing the same thing over and over again with a different background. How many pieces or wood do I need to move to get past by jamming the triangle button, or how many times do I need to boost my companion up on to the next cliff, by hitting the triangle button. This game would have gotten 5 stars from me if it had added more of the stealth/action/shooting sections to the game. There were a good amount of fun and usually gave you a bunch of different paths you could take to complete them.. go all stealthy and try and sneak through while silently taking enemies down, or go in guns blazing from the start. Each area seemed to have a lot of different paths you could take to move around it, there just aren't enough of them. It also felt like the game fell back on the old, bridge breaking under you, or piece of cliff you are hanging on breaking mechanic way too many times. You began to simply expect it during ALL the climbing sections to where it didn't even surprise you any more, just became kind of annoying. Now again, these problems only take away slightly from the game as a whole, this is a GREAT game, it just isn't the best game I've ever played or even the best game in this series (Uncharted 2), but I do strongly recommend the purchase and thank Naughty Dog for another amazing journey. I'll miss Nathan Drake if this is the last go around for him, but at least he got a good send off.

Emotional game with great storytelling !
Well, it seems most people here covered the reviews on the game so I will keep things short. Visually, it's impressive. One of the best AAA games out there right now. The story in general once you start it will be impossible to let go of and not finish it. They covered all past games and Nate's adventure around the globe. They show a side of him that deals with everyday life for everyone. Showing his normal life now vs his global treks around the globe. It really makes you see how everyday you wake up like a robot and do the same over and over again and not even notice it. However you see things from his perspective. Anyways, I have not completed the game but currently working on it and in chapter 11 and was blown away by the chemistry all the voice actors have, I would say this surpasses Uncharted 2. The music goes with the flow of what is happening inside the game which really sucks you into the storytelling and action sequences. I have nothing negative to say on it. Multiplayer I was impressed with. Everything in game can be bought or unlocked by using multiplayer points won in game. The only thing is the points unlock items randomly or paying for points to allows you to select them. All stages are free to avoid dividing the community. The MP plays like a mix of The Last of Us and Uncharted 3. You can revive downed allies like TLOU however they have boosters that can be bought in game (gun upgrades, more bombs, helpers etc) I liked the fact that every time you buy an "upgrade" inside the game (RPGs, GUNS etc) they cost more the next time so it avoids being abused. They have a section that teaches you how to use the new items or moves (hooks, one hit kill charge, bombs , mines etc) standards Deathmatch and capture the flag type modes. They also have a section for ranked matches online instead of friendly. It still 'feels' like an uncharted game when playing online similar to UC2-3. I loved The Last of Us but Uncharted has always been fast pace and I was afraid that they would slow down the online in UC4. This time Naughty Dog found a good mix between fast pace action with timing and semi planing similar to (TLOU) so that made me happy. This time the online is fun and feels challenging not just run and gun. The online is also stable (I have 100 down and 26 up) results of online stability varies case by case but even a friend who has 50 down and 6 up stated that it was very stable.

I finally love Uncharted
I've never been a huge Uncharted fan. When I saw previews for U1, I thought "Look son, a Tomb Raider clone." Was never a big fan of TR either, so that prospect didn't excite me. Downloaded the demo when it hit PSN- "Very pretty to look at, very dull to play" was my verdict. I had no intention of playing the full game, but when it came out the extremely positive word of mouth spread like wildfire, so I figured maybe the demo didn't do a great job of representing and decided to check it out. I can't say I didn't enjoy it, but for the most part it was pretty much what I expected. I described it to a friend as "imagine Ico minus the charm crossed with Gear of War minus the adrenaline." That's how I saw the two main pillars of game play, the traversal and the combat. My favorite thing about it was the characters and their repartee. I liked it enough that I played U2 and 3 when they released and felt they were definitely improved over the original, but they still didn't set my heart racing. However, when I saw my first preview of The Last of Us, that impressed the hell out of me. It made no difference to me that it was being headed up by "the guys who made Uncharted 2," I just thought it looked like it was going to be an amazing game in and of itself. And it was. I mean that, TLOU literally amazed me. So, when Uncharted 4 was announced and it was made known that Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann were at the helm, that was the first time I actually became hyped for an Uncharted. In the days before the game officially released, I kept reading leak impressions that "Uncharted 4 feels very un-Uncharted-like," and that "sometimes it feels more like TLOU." After finishing the game (16 hours over three days) I think those are hyperbolic statements. I think Uncharted 4 feels completely like Uncharted, it just feels like the biggest, most polished and overall best one so far. It adds some new elements to the mix, both in terms of game play and story/emotional beats, but it never feels like anything but Uncharted... even when it's obviously borrowing elements from TLOU. This is fine with me. I didn't want Uncharted to become TLOU, I was just hoping it would benefit from TLOU's pedigree, from Bruce and Neil's experience working on it. I think it definitely did. One of my favorite things was finally getting to drive that white jeep shown in the E3 demo last year. Just watching that video it looked like one of the funnest video game vehicles of all time, and that's pretty much how I felt driving it. Handles like a dream, wish it was in the game more! Never did get much use out of the new move where you swing on the rope and then drop down to super-punch an enemy in the skull, gonna work on that next time I play through the game... probably right after I finish Doom. I don't play MP, that aspect of the game doesn't factor into my review.

Amazing
This game should make the rest of companies developing for ps4 ashamed of themselves. It is so beautiful graphically that it feels years away from the rest of them. Gameplay and story-wise, if you liked the previous three buying this is a no-brainer. If you are new to the saga, even if you can definitely enjoy this game by itself, I recommend buying the trilogy collection. In a nutshell: >Amazing graphics. >Very entertaining and satisfying gameplay and story. >Can't think of any reason to not buy this.
