I purchased this set to replace my original Samson PXD1 set. It works fine. Not sure about your Samson Concert 88. The connection on this headset is a 3 pin triangle, female, so 3 male pins on your device is essential just to start. Hope this helps.

That is my exact application. It works fine. It's a bit stiffer on the microphone extension, so you might have to fiddle a bit for proper fit.
