28146SW Brake Vacuum Switch Vacuum Pump Switch for 12V Electric Brake Booster Electric Vacuum Pump Kit

I'm using this as a brake vacuum boost pump switch on a custom electric vehicle and it works perfectly. I saw other reviews mention that theirs chatters but mine doesn't chatter at all and works perfectly so far.

I read the reviews and saw that this didnt work for a lot of people. I decided to try it anyway because I need a 12v switch. This switch hasnt worked for me. When it seemed to function, there was a lot of chatter in the pump. From the product description, the turn on and turn off pressure are the same which is different from most switches. I added a valve check and the chatter continued. I bought a different valve check and the chatter continued. Then the switch just stopped working altogether. When the switch is connected, the pump doesnt turn on even when there is no vacuum. Unless you only need a switch for a day or two, I wouldnt buy this.

Works Great

Info is lacking and seller doesn't respond, but it's a good item and so far, works well. I posted a request on the plug and harness because a previous post said it wasn't included. As it turns out, everything except the wire is included, just as the sellers picture shows. The electrical plug comes with the switch as illustrated and is shown plugged onto the switch (has the metal spring retainer clip on it). The two metal parts off to the side in the item photo of the listing are the contacts and waterproof bushings that you use to assemble the plug. I'm using mine to control an electric vacuum pump I installed for the brakes in a car I tow behind my motorhome.

Lucky find. Pump works well, just takes a bit of time to build up pressure. Overall goof value for money

Installed the switch and tested worked one time shut the pump off. Stuck in the open position, tapped the switch and the pump run and would not shut off. Now the switch is stuck in the closed position, so the pump is working all the time and over heating, you’re better off ordering a adjustable vacuum switch.

To operate the vacuum pump for power breaks.

Couldn’t get this to work in my custom Peale booster setup. Wouldn’t allow the pump to get in the range of 18-22. There is no adjustment as it is factory set. Pretty useless for my application.I’m still trying to find an adjustable switch.I will say that I like the theory of how it works. Easy to set up, but it just doesn’t shut off at the right point. Couldn’t find any helpful info from the distributer and found no contact info.I’d like one like this that achieves my requirements.
